MAGICAL TRANSLATIONS- An innovative way to teach Spanish to kids: Through our Magical Translations™ method, children see only the Spanish text, but hears the narrator’s rhythmic (and strategically timed) alternation between Spanish and its English translation. Our method is supported by Dr. Stephen Krashen’s Comprehensible Input Hypothesis. Simply put, “comprehensible input” is new-language input that can be comprehended by listeners despite them not understanding all the words. This theory and our method are most effective when applied during early childhood, when children’s brains will wire more efficiently to the languages to which they are exposed. ------- FabuLingua is: A story. A game. A tool for learning. A gentle introduction to a second language. A way to reinforce and supplement literacy. A parent-child bonding activity. An after-school plan. A super fun method for language learning! And the best part? Any parent or teacher - whether you speak a second language or not - can do it. Simply lean back and enjoy the journey with your child. -------- ADVANTAGES OF LEARNING SPANISH DURING CHILDHOOD. #1 Language-learning benefits early brain development; especially executive functioning (problem-solving, the ability to focus, and switching between tasks efficiently.) #2 Studies by Harvard University suggest that learning languages at an early age has increased advantages over doing it later in life; like enhanced creativity and critical thinking skills. #3 It provides academic and professional advantages, cultural awareness, emotional intelligence, and self-confidence. #4 In an increasingly globalized world, new languages are acquiring exponential value. An estimated 130 million people in the US will speak Spanish over the next 30 years. #5 In the case of Spanish and Hispanic heritage families, Spanish will allow their children to better understand their background, bond with relatives, and connect to their culture. This was recommended by my son’s Spanish teacher and we were so excited to try it out, but it gets stuck on the subscription page and we can’t access the content.

We cannot subscribe or get past the first story, despite reinstalling the app several times. It just shows an infinite loading screen. And I can’t tell if I’m being charged because you can only access your account from inside the app.

I was excited when I found out about this app, because I really love the idea, and am a firm believer in the comprehensible input method of learning a language. Unfortunately, we have been unable to really use the app.. After listening to the first story, it prompted us to subscribe in order to continue listening to the other stories. But when I tried to click on the subscribe button, it got stuck on the loading page. I tried restarting the app several times, and attempting to subscribe, but each time it did the same thing. I then went to my apple account, under subscriptions, and it showed that I did in fact subscribe.. so then I went back into the app, but it still showed that I had not yet subscribed… I have sent an email to the company to see if this issue can be resolved, but it didn’t give me a great first impression of the app
  • So many bugs

Total waste of money to not be able to use what we’ve paid for. Even after the latest update that was supposed to fix the specific bug we’re experiencing, we’re still unable to get past the tutorial stage of the app (and this is after deleting and re-downloading multiple times). Gave it several months hoping the issue would be resolved but we’re cancelling our subscription and will be finding another option.
  • Best app out there

We are a bilingual family, but my kids need to practice or they will lose their second language. This is the only effective language app out there. We have tried them all and this is the most accurate language learning app you will find. The characters are adorable and the ability to record their voices is such great practice and encouragement in their learning. I’d give it 10 stars if I could. I have a countered the occasional glitch but the team responds quickly and it’s always fixable.

Excellent, engaging, gets children speaking, so much to click on, very good customer service. Colorful app, really teaches good Spanish and not only “beginner words.” Very fun. A well developed app. No ads. Peaceful game too actually. If you have any technical difficulties, check FAQ or contact the developer. They’re extremely helpful and responsive. Had a bug type issue and it was easily resolved without losing our progress. Awesome app! Thank you!

I honestly love this love! It is a great way for kids to learn Spanish! There seems to be something going on with the app. It won’t load for me until I delete it off the tablet then download it again. After that it works. Please fix this problem!

This would be great but the app won’t even open the tutorial. It just sits there. Disappointing for a trial run. At least I can cancel.
  • Homeschool Spanish made Easy!

First and foremost, we are bilingual homeschoolers - so we don’t take our language resources lightly. FabuLingua is an excellent, gentle way, to increase language learning in our homeschool. For me, it’s hands off and perfect independent study for my 8 year old. Instead of sitting down with him for Spanish, he can open the app and pick up Spanish naturally. I’ve even heard his pronunciation improve due to the native speakers used for the app recordings. For my son, it’s just fun immersive language learning and he really enjoys the stories and animated illustrations throughout the program. The gamified learning improves his recall and his desire to use the program. When it’s time for Spanish, I don’t have to tell him twice because he runs to grab his tablet to use FabuLingua!
  • Story-Games Work When They Want

Unfortunately I paid full price for this app. For several weeks the app did work a was on a black screen. Now when I attempt to move forward with Coqui Miedo “word scramble” game it freezes and doesn’t move forward. I really want to like this game but there are so many instances on which I feel like my money is wasted. I love the stories, games and progress. But the constant bugs makes we regret spending such an amount of money.
