if I could give 0 stars, I would. I spent almost 30-40 minutes outside my own home trying to get in because it wouldn’t open my door. Thankfully, I have a key and have no need to ever use this app again. The only positive thing from using this app is I will NEVER leave my keys at home again.

The app is slow, it hangs and restarts on its own. Horrible performance and annoying to use. No Apple Watch compatibility.

This app is terrible, it constantly cannot find my apartment unit’s front door via Bluetooth even when I’m standing right in front of it. It also crashes somewhat frequently which is unacceptable when you are a renter and this app is the only way to access your home
  • Major security flaw

So, I gave an ex partner of mine my username and password to gain access to my apartment. My partner had told me they didn’t get a code sent to their phone to be able to sign in as a guest. I was frustrated, and honestly due to my lack of understanding of how to add a guest… after trying 8 minutes… I gave them my username and password. Mind you, I trusted my longtime partner and I did not think rationally! I now know I should have NEVER given out this info. We live and learn. Chirp does not sign out of all devices when you change the password! Instead this person has permanent access to my place because they refuse to delete the app on their phone. They also can access the entry gate. My apartment complex is a Camden property and says nothing can be done, because a factory reset will wipe out my credentials permanently and they stated they cannot restore access for an existing tenant once they’re deleted from the system. I can only trust what they’re saying because why would they lie? I know that the decision to give this person my login credentials is ultimately my fault, but I thought a security app, like Chirp who uses Yale locks/fobs would have a way to SIGN OUT ALL DEVICES once a password is changed. I know changing the password does not fix the issue because I tested this using my relatives iPhones. They still had access even though I changed my password AND email!! I called Chirp directly and they stated that Camden has full control and that Chirp cannot help me. I feel the only way to protect myself now is to file a restraining order and install a new lock in addition to using the Yale/chirp system. I am also purchasing a hand weapon (not sure if I’m allowed to say the obvious word on this review) but just please don’t be stupid like me giving your login details— from my frustration with the app after 8 minutes. That moment of me deciding to do that in that 8 minutes is now life changing for me! I am enduring constant fear of a person and not knowing if or when they may show up unannounced. Also, please Chirp make an update to this! I’ve tried numerous times to delete the app, reinstall, change multiple emails and passwords, different devices, nothing works, the person can AND HAS accessed my place without permission and I’ve had to call law enforcement.

The biggest issue with the all, is simply on IPhone at least I’m unable to hit back and I have to close the entire app and reopen it to access which lock I want to unlock. This is kind of annoying and hopefully in future updates they can fix that type of glitch
  • Please update the app

Not worth it. And unfortunately I am forced to use chirp because of my apartment complex. The app forces close anytime I try to unlock my front door.
  • Awful!

“Bug fixes and stability improvements” only made things worse. For some people this app is the only way they can access their homes. Do better!
  • Lag time

The app used to be quick however recently there is a noticeable lag time to get access to my front door. I have to wait 20-30 seconds for it to unlock versus a few months ago it used to be immediate when I pressed the unlock or elevator button.
  • Out of all available entry points, the only one I can’t favorite is my front door.
