  • One Major Issue Ruins the App's Value

While this app is useful, there are free apps that offer similar features. To make this app worth it's price the developers will need to add the ability to use a custom DNS (similar to what DNS Security and DNSecure offer) or at the very least offer a DNS that blocks ads and ad-trackers. So far they only give you 3 choices, none of the 3 block ads or ad-trackers AND one is from a company that not only collects an ungodly amount of user data but is also notorious for going against their own ToS. Of course I'm talking about Google's DNS. If you value privacy, you're not going to use Google DNS So if the developers are truly serious about security and privacy they can easily prove it by adding the ability to block ads and trackers on a systemwide level by either allowing users to choose a custom DNS or offering an ad blocking DNS such as Adguard or Mullvad DNS. For the record the best DNS right now is NextDNS but you have to pay for it's ad blocking feature thus why I would like the ability to add custom DNS's so I can add it.

This is a great app that walks you through a list of settings to help setup a more secure iphone. It’s a great app that explains why you should use those settings. It is getting a bit outdated but most settings aren’t far off from where they were. I’d give it a 4-5 Star if it was updated. I do recommend it to everyone and would love to see a list of recommendations for Safari Experimental Features.

I found the name of this App looking online for help dealing with a neighbor who’s a software engineer criminal hacker. So many of the directives have helped me deal with this ever expanding cyber world where our personal lives are at the mercy of some really evil people. Thanks for being of help.
  • Maybe worth $.99

It’s innately limited in what it can do, so it’s understandable that it can’t do much. But most of it is just a manual checklist that will create a troublesome phone for a non-technical end user. Can’t help but feel the description oversells what the app can do and how much it can help on its own.

Piece of mind. Excellent app. More features than expected. However within the past several day the app started saying that my iPhone needs an update which upon checking it doesn’t, my iOS version is current. However besides that I highly recommend

I give it 5 stars because the intent is to keep our personal information and our belongings safe from cyber creeps. Unfortunately some get pleasure off scamming the innocent. IVerify, Cloudflare, and Trail of bits has helped me stay confident in having a safe environment for my family in a digital world
  • Apple Inc. owes you and should learn from you

Dear developer, I hope this message finds you well. I'm not the kind of user who takes the time to provide feedback. But that has changed significantly following recent cyber security attacks which I have not been suffering for two months knowing of the fact, and many more months without having a clue about it. Your app and its instructions have done more for me than Apple Inc. (the one and only) or my employer's dedicated global mobility IT team could ever dream of doing. For the record, as I do appreciate transparency, the latter is The World Bank Group (the one and only). I cannot explain what caused and how the security/integrity of my devices (1) an iPhone 13 Pro and (2) an iPhone XS , the latter being property of the WBG, with its security protocols and device management profiles, bells and whistles ... were compromised. For the last several weeks I've been trying to rescue Apple IDs and ensure the iCloud data is intact. I will spare the details of my struggle. I tried everything recommended by Apple's customer support (several cuss terms could be inserted here but I was raised properly and will spare the readers). Zero due diligence from a defective security standpoint on the mobile side of things with the second infamous one. Your app with its instructions and in settings capabilities combined with Proton VPN, helped just now bring the device to a stable state. My data is being backed up, the super weird wallpaper manipulation appears to be gone, and once MY data is backed up to the iCloud, I will reset the device to its factory settings. For as long as your app and Proton VPN continue to protect the device from external/uninvited/despised actors (human and digital alike) they will remain be here. The turmoil was such with the devices that I don't even recall how I bumped into your app. I believe it is a free app. I do not take off my head for many people, but you Mr. or Miss developer(s) have my sincerest thanks. I don't know if there's a way for me to get a hold of you and provide a contribution to you, but I will do my best to reach out. The attacker or digital thing which breached not only Apple Inc. device security features and those of the World Bank Group's device management protocols is no match to your sound advice and tools provided by iVERIFY. The common observer would miss the detail of your app and the very important signature it carries in its name - no period (.) means do not click. How in the world did the attacker mimic your app so quickly and made it so that if used, would further compromise advice. I have no idea but being on high alert and observing the details, and shirt that I did not Miss your Intentional (.) When a person speaks with an Apple support rep about troubleshooting tools and apps used, they swiftly hide behind - "it is a third-party app and we're not responsible". As I mentioned to Joseph today, senior advisor at Apple Inc. for businesses, "one was first know how to follow before he or she can lead". I have followed their advice for two months now and the issue persists and is linked to their recent implementation of an enhanced security system (as of est. Jan 19 2023) which is flawed to say the least with respect to the use of Yubikey. I may not have conveyed entirely and as eloquently to Joseph Apple Inc. today, the company and its staff should start lowering their guard, humbling themselves to the threats posed by (insert cuss word), and when they hear of a flaw they should (1) listen - because it's only by listening and I just hearing , one is able to comprehend; (2) recognize - without it they can't improve; and (3) learn to follow - because only then they will be able to lead. Apple inc was advised today to examine your app, learn from it, compensate you handsomely, and implement a solution of similar nature of their own which comes as an app that protects its integrity within the device just as much as they protect their servers or as the leaders in cyber security such a Cisco protect theirs. I will sleep better tonight and I have you to thank. I will be in touch personally and directly. Signed/sealed/encrypted by M.i.B.L.L.W.B.S.P.S.Q.

i understood that this app would proactively "protect" my device by alerting me when security issues arose, or at the least, when i opened it. i just noticed that when i opened the app, it said everything was fine. the i opened the settings app and checked to updates and then immediately closed the settings app when i saw that there was a new os available. then i opens the iverify app again and "all-of-a-sudden" my device was "not secure".
