Me and my cousin were having a sleepover and we had no clue what to do so we were searching things to do for a sleepover on YouTube and believe it or not but Pinterest had lots of ideas for us and after that we had a blast.

Used to be a fun social media site for creatives but now it’s nothing more than another shopping app

Guys, every time I scroll down I get Temu and Amazon ads. Like there is maybe one original pin but the rest are ads. Liiiiike come on. I find myself spending less time on the app because of this. I genuinely am starting to HATE the app because if I wanted to buy from those mega corporations I would scroll through those apps bruhhhhh

My two biggest grapes with Pinterest are the incessant ads and low image quality. As an artist and a designer, I care a lot about details. When the image quality on Pinterest photos is so low across-the-board it makes it hard to use effectively. Artist and designer care about those details and I want to be able to see the images I save in high-quality. Secondly, on Pinterest lately feel like they are growing in number and more irrelevant than ever. The ads I get feel like they don’t belong on Pinterest. I think Instagram does this really well where ads feel integrated and natural into the experience but on Pinterest, I am annoyed by the ads and how irrelevant they are to me.

this app is a different breed (this is basically TikTok if you took away the fact everyone on TikTok is hating half the time)

when i go to the search menu, theres a section that shows something from one of the interests you selected, for example 'drawing'. they keep recommend me explicit art despite me costantly clicking not interested and theres a glitch that doesnt let me access the three dots at the corner to click 'show less' ive tried deleting the app and reinstalling but it just doesnt go away. sometimes when im trying to delete a pin they trap you on the page and you cant get rid of the page unless you refresh. i think the developers should focus more on fixing pre existing bugs than making new updates that break the app even more

Okay Pinterest can you please get rid of the saved to these boards option whenever I click on a pin, it is very much an eye sore and straight up not even needed. Just go back to what Pinterest was before that’s literally all the people want. Stop making unnecessary changes please.

my fav app but there could’ve been some other features that would make it easier to use the app: 1) adding “reply” in the text messages 2) not automatically remove sounds for most of the pins 3) not off the comments automatically for most of the pins posted 4) being able to create secret section in a public board

I’ve had my Pinterest account for nearly 10 years and I haven’t used it recently until 2017, so I saved many pins over the course of the years up until now consistently. Most of the pins I saved are for aesthetic reasons for character boards and just stuff that made me laugh, I have been getting emails about pins being removed but I don’t see a problem since I’ve saved nearly 8k pins and don’t really remember nor care if they got removed or not. It wasn’t a problem up until Pinterest deactivated my account for “violating too many policies”. Then after my account for back up again they told me to look through my whole account for any pins that doesn’t violate their rule, like I’m not gonna scroll 8k pins just to find something that pinterest doesn’t like. Half of the pins they removed were mainly art inspirations, I have a board that’s filled with pose references of irl people but apparently they removed the few MLM poses that was on there. It’s unbelievable cause they labeled it as “sexual content” and it would be a pin about two dudes hugging. Get real, Pinterest. You’re gonna lose the community that uses Pinterest in the first place and make it unfriendly for new users :/, I bid thee adieu brah
