HomeBase is an amazing app to keep track of your schedule. It tells you whom you are scheduled with and the estimated money earned that day. The only bad thing is the cash out early does not work. It would be a definite 5/5 stars!

I love Homebase for what it does and I truly mean that, it has great potential and serves a purposes. With that being said - it is so incredibly glitchy with bugs in general and even worse when it’s compared to an android user or apple user for the mobile app. A few things you need to be aware of 1. Support is awful - it’s an awfully long process to get help and I have yet to have one good experience. As an IT professional it’s kind of absurd the responses are amount to “turn it off and turn it on again” responses. That’s about all you are going to get from them. 2. The mobile app is incredibly glitchy - what you can do on an Apple phone vs. an Android phone is annoying how inconsistent it is. 3. assigning roles - I love this feature but what’s the point of creating roles for employees and putting them up for shift bid and approval when anyone can do it even if that profile/employee isn’t approved for that. For example if I created a bartender role and then a bookkeeping role, anyone can apply for it. Though an employee should know not to do that if they aren’t capable of doing it but what’s the point if the system isn’t built to stop that? 4. Role pay - this is so infuriating. For me I have over 20 different roles and 80 employees. Homebase doesn’t allow you to create one role with one pay assigned to it so that when it’s picked and added to an employee it brings over the pay. You have to do every single role for every employee individually. This is painful. 5. Events - some other apps will allow you to create an event and add it qty. of employees whereas Homebase makes everything separate so you have to create a generic event then add it to the calendar then create the shift times the amount you need individually instead a bulk option. So everything again is so time consuming. 6. Text based alerts - it’s the most generic item. No customization at all. So when your employees get it - it can be misleading. You’d be surprised at how many ask me what it means. 7. Chat groups - woof. If you delete a chat group and create a new one with those same people and if someone deleted that chat group then they won’t see any of the new messages. Another item that is created so generically and useless when it’s core functions isn’t set up correctly. 8. User interface - some questionable choices here in layout and design along with what they show in the app. This could be a personal gripe but it feels like the entire layout and design just makes zero sense and isn’t easy to navigate. It reminds me of college interns creating an app based on generics they just learned and no one of any professional understanding or knowledge decided to check it out and show clients for feedback. All in all - it works but you spend sooooo much time, so much unnecessary time because it just lacks in the overall purpose and function.
