Fun, Fun and funny!

Was this thing written in 1980 and adapted to 2020? I can think of no other reason for the sheer dumbness of this “movie”. I know, it’s Scooby-do but come on! Even the kids were baffled, bored, and annoyed. I give it two stars because it was at least only just over an hour long. A very llloooonnnnggg hour but better than two!

I love Scooby Doo, but I hated this movie. I've seen every Scooby Doo TV show and movie ever made, and this is the worst ever. All of the characters are underused; the entire movie is one long car chase (but not in an entertaining way). It is much more of a horror movie than a mystery, and will scare younger kids. Not only is it overly scary,it doesn't have any of the great tropes ("I lost my glasses/Let's split up and look for clues", etc.); Plus the characters are poorly written; Velma doesn't trust Shaggy and Scooby, and belittles them in front of others; the background characters show no compassion for helping others; and the mystery is not satisfying when it finally is solved. The plot feels like it should have been a 22 minute show that was stretched into a movie. [I also have a 12 year old and 9 year old, they said it was boring and creepy.] Don't waste your money. Buy Scoob! instead.

There are plenty of jack ‘o lanterns, high octane races, Rambo traps, Aliens quotes and laughter. We plan on making this a yearly October watch.
