    Denzel Washington is one of my favorite action heroes. But many scenes in this movie reminded me of the Jason Bourne films. The indestructible rogue CIA agent, the interrogation by "waterboarding," CIA bosses killing agents off, the Middle East bad guys, etc. Denzel should have passed on this one.

    Not one of Denzel's best but it is a satisfying action flick with lots of heart. Reynolds and the supporting cast are very good. Lots of double crossing, assassins, gun fights, car chases, stuff blowing up, etc. I'd have given it 4 stars but the plot is a bit thin. Plausible, but thin. Overall an enjoyable flick.

    Once again, Denzel Washington shows why he is one of the best actors out there. Ryan Reynolds also shows he is capable of playing a serious role. This movie is filled with action and a great storyline. Well done.

    Of all the DW movies this was probably my least favorite. Still liked it but not a good example of what DW is capable of.

    I have no idea how this movie could be given 4 stars or less, maybe 3 if one is an over critical jerk. It's an action packed punch film that will keep you on the edge. Good acting, good story and the end just doesn't dissapoint.

    Just finished watching Safe House. I simply can not understand why this film received such poor reviews. Excellent cast,excellent story,excellent,stunts,excellent quality !!!!!!!!!! The film has a great feel and awesome style, shot mostly in Cape Town which gave it a fresh and very unfamiliar temperature. The stunts were original and different, gave the film some individual edge ! Washington and Reynolds were superb !! The tension between them was addictive. This was not your normal crappy conspiracy flick….. it was in a class of its own !
