It’s wild to see so many 1-star reviews. It’s certainly a cerebral film (perhaps that’s why). The plot original, the cinematics, all of it is just incredible. Start to finish, it was such an engaging and original film. Outstanding performance by Keaton.

I didn’t have any problems with the movie except the final part... It was the worst thing the writers could have done to this movie, what a shame😔 I got the whole movie’s point but the final 10 minutes absolutely ruined the movie!

The plot is simple. An actor trying to outlive the role in an action movie that made him famous years before. As he struggles to reinvent himself on stage, his past and everything he was (the role, the fame, the ego) begins to haunt him. Like an addiction it stands in his way of self-realization and personal growth by trying to convince him to give up the role in less glamorous but more legitimate broadway play. Casting Michael Keaton was genius. Not only is the acting incredible but one feels as though this could have been written about Keaton himself. I couldn’t help but comparing Keaton’s career trajectory before and after Batman to the protagonist’s career since Birdman and what he’s now attempting in order to save himself from an occupational tailspin. The script, directing, acting, and camera work are all top notch. This movie is great but I’d especially recommend it to people who prefer more cerebral, multidimensional, and thought-inspiring content to loud explosions and dumbed down dialogue typical of most movies that Hollywood churns out today.

Birdman is a tragic and extrodinary masterpiece with hillarious obserity throughout Michael Keaton does a excellent job playing Riggan Thompson as he struggles with family, fame and his career the acting is superb but the jazz music and astonshing choronegraphy this movie is a visual treat.

What stood out is the sinking of art, thought, informed criticism. I thought it was a joke but people really treat social media as important - the number of likes, followers, endless posting of the banal. I didn't really get the point. I love Lindsay Duncan in anything. I loved Ed Norton in briefs. Why did Emma Stone do this?

Worst movie I’ve ever seen, as to why it’s 4 stars is beyond me, asides from grandstanding to the most irrelevant actors and how they ”truly know how to act”

How could anyone like this movie? I’d rather watch my own house burn slowly to the crowns with my grandmother inside.

Hollywood is completely high and hallucinaitng, when they rated this a great movie. It is a complete bore, utterly stupid, and incoherent as movie masterpieces go.
