If you live for lovecraft/Cthulhu or even a horror/sci-fi fan, this IS for you!

I read the original book which was wonderful and very honest with a great storyline and rich characters. But this series goes totally woke and politically correct; taking liberties beyond the pale and changing the whole storyline of the book; which misdirecting anyone who may want to read the book. If you want a better perspective read the book; this series did a disservice to the book and its author; am I sorry that I purchased the series? Well yes and no …I’m glad to see talented actors and production people who put forth this series get work.But I will remember the shows producers and creators and will be not be watching any future endeavors in any way, shape or form. Way too Politically Correct & Woke for my taste.

It another pitiful story that only exists because too many people keeping secrets from one another muck hsit up that’s then pieced back together. Ya-da!

While Lovecraft wrote some of the most amazingly scary stories, this attempt to visualize his work is tortuous to watch, and rife with racist undertones, which truly take away from the story. While the story unfolds during a time of racial discord, the Lovecraft stories I read never broached this subject. Every episode focuses on the racial difficulties of the time and maybe 20-30% of the story touches on Lovecraft stories and lore. When they focus on the Lovecraft storyline, it’s impressive. Save your money.

The show is weird, and who cares the main characters are black in a racial set America. It has nothing to do with racial divide, there are vampires, ufos, witchcraft, voodoo, ouija boards, ghosts, bloodlines. 1st episode is fantastic, and Leti is a gorgeous, great actor. Picked up the season for $14.99 even though I can watch it on HBO Max it’s worth contributing to the next season.

It’s like American Horror Story, The Magicians, Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Goonies & a Time Lord all had a baby & out popped Lovecraft Country...

once again the racism trope is paraded by hollywwod, maybe hollywood need to look at a mirror to find their horrific racist stories. Meanwhile skip giving these pirates money for more racist junk

This show (based off the book Lovecraft Country-written by a white man, I might add for those who seem to think this show is so racist) blends sci-fi, horror, and history in a way I’ve never seen before. The historical facts that are thrown into the show (for those who care to look) are astounding. The writing was great and I loved the plot.

Stumbled upon this show, was amazing!
