Description

Picking up where last season's cliffhanger left off, Laura Roslin (Mary McDonnell), thwarted in her efforts to steal the election from a man she suspects is somehow in collusion with the Cylons, loses her presidency to Giaus Baltar (James Callis), who promised safe refuge from the Cylons by settling on the recently discovered planet New Caprica. However, after a year of enduring harsh conditions and suffering under Baltar's self-indulgent government, the fleet's worst fears are realized when the Cylons discover their hiding place. With the battlestars Galactica and Pegasus helpless in the face of the arrival of a full Cylon fleet, the colonists are left to fend for themselves as Adama (Edward James Olmos) and Apollo (Jamie Bamber) are forced to jump away with the remaining fleet in order to save themselves — but vow to return. The Cylons offer President Baltar one dubious chance for survival: surrender and co-exist peacefully under Cylon rule or be annihilated.

  • Episode 14, 15 and 16 are out of sequence

Just a note to anyone who hasn't watched this show before, the episodes "Maelstrom" ,"A Day in the Life" and "Dirty Hands" are out of sequence for this show. The correct order is: 14 - Dirty Hands, 15 - Maelstrom and 16 - A Day in the Life I hope this helps anyone to avoid the mistake of seeing events out of order and lessening the drama.
  • Best Sci-Fi Show in Televisin History!

Battlestar Galactica is easily, for me, the best Sci-Fi show ever. It may well be the best show, period. A show that covers nearly every aspect of the human condition, the human culture, the human component, and the rise and fall of civilization itself. The only complaint I have regarding the episodes purchased through I-tunes, is that you can't buy the extended versions of some of these great episodes, such as "Resurrection Part 1" from the second season, or "Unfinished Business" from this season. I am hoping that eventually, they will be available for purchase. A great show like this deserves the full treatment for the viewer!
  • Greatest Television Show Ever!!!

Battlestar has redefined for me what television can and should do. You sometimes forget the power of language and good writing in this day of reality televsion. With Battlestar, I found myself appreciating more script writers. Better yet, I found myself appreciating great acting. Season 3 is a pivotal season. You find yourself, the viewer, on a rollercoaster of emotions as you take this journey with these well established characters. Of course don't watch anything from this season without watching the miniseries and the two previous seasons before it.

I was in the middle of purchasing season 2 and then it was taken off over the weekend. Is it coming back?? I hope that I wasn't wasting my time purchasing the show from the beginning just to be able to not receive all of season 2 Please bring it back
  • Slower season, very important for the 4th, and still the best...!!!

This season seems to slow down at points, but has the best opening out of all the seasons with Occupation to Exodus part 2!!!! I feel Unifished Business is one of the best episodes, if not best, with a strong focus on the characters and Lee and Kara!! The end trail drags a little longer than needed, but this season concludes with a shocking closure, just like the last two seasons. The episodes not to miss are Occupation/Precipice, Exodus 1&2, Unfinished Business, Maelstrom, and Crossroads pt 2, to know what's going on you also need to see The Eye of Jupiter & Rapture, as well as Crossroads pt.1.
  • Anti-American liberal point of view.

Cylons (Americans) overwhelm a human settlement (middle east). Cylons (Americans) rip the eye out of prisoner, and force a woman to have sex to get her husband out of jail. Cylons (Americans) wish to bring 'God' to the settlement and live in peace, there is no other reason for them to be there. The humans (middle east) are outgunned by Cylons (American) technology, so they resort to terrorist attacks and homicide bombs. Way to go Hollywood - first Indiana Jones 4, then this. This is liberal hollywood garbage. They do not believe social prosperity flows from democracy, capitalism, and free markets. They wrongly believe the worlds problems are over race, religion, and class warfare. They are constantly trying to push their political schizophrenia with this sort of propaganda - but I dig the neat spaceships.
  • Humanity worth saving?

I think not if this is our only choice in humans left. Not only is there an unlimited amount of nudity and sex (all which does not add to the story, but form something rated it should definitely be rated R, it is just a step away from being x rated, it surly pushes the line, and I got so fed up with it I could not watch anymore. Frack is so overused and is obviously a substitute for the "F" word, which I think is in bad taste and gets very annoying after a while.. I will say some stories are interesting and the special effects are very good, it don’t surpass all the garbage in it. I wanted to find someone in the series to like or care about, but i kept finding myself cheering for the cylons! They're supposed to be the bad guys, but this show has such a grey area that you never know who really the good ones are. The writers threw out any moral compass with these shows, and filled it with much sex, sex and sex and oh yeah violence. I was not sad this series ended on just season 4. SO long, you won be missed.
  • SO SAY WE ALL!

No one, who has seen the show, cannot deny that this program is possibly one of the best out there. BSG exceeds the expectations of Sci-Fi fans, as well as any TV viewer. Battlestar Galactica showcases all of the qualities where many TV programs fall short. They manage to encompass science fiction elements with compelling drama and human emotion. The show is entertaining on numerous levels varying from epic battles, humorous pilot banter, to sexy vixen Cylons. I have only met one person who dislikes this program, and believe me--his credibility is zilch, and his friend count decreases on a daily basis. How has this show never been nominated for any Emmys? Please enjoy. You will not be dissapointed.

I love this show, and I especially liked their rendition of "All Along the Watchtower" in the season finale. But. . . I can't find it on itunes! Why aren't the soundtracks on here?
