Description

The Babylon 5 saga continues in the thrilling series Crusade. In the late 23rd century, humanity has defeated the evil Shadow race. But its allies remain — and they swear revenge. When the mysterious, hateful Drakhs unleash a deadly biogenetic plague on Earth, mankind faces its demise within five years, unless the Rangers — an elite army forged during civilization's darkest hours — can find a cure. Now, in a ceaseless battle against time and the dangers of deep space, the Rangers boldly pursue their mission: to destroy the Drakhs and their alien allies. Diplomacy and negotiation mean nothing. With seven billion lives at stake, action and courage against insurmountable odds must prevail. From acclaimed Babylon 5 executive producer J. Michael Straczynski, the complete Crusade series is available right here on iTunes.

  • X-FILE Visitors From Down The Street

All X-Files fans must download "Visitors From Down The Street" - the episode where Humans are the Alien Invaders. With direct call outs of: two investigators, tape on the window, music, outfits, and even a smoking man... An instant Jump-The-Shark episode in the first season, you don't see that very often. If you love X-Files, Visitors is your episode. If you love B5, you can consider 'Crusade' as the lost episodes of B5... Enjoy. The Truth Is Out There, way out there . . .

The correct chronological order (as opposed to the complete disarray in which the network aired these episodes, like Firefly) is: 1. War Zone 2. The Long Road 3. Ruling from the Tomb 4. Appearances and Other Deceits 5. The Memory of War 6. The Needs of Earth 7. Racing the Night 8. Visitors from Down the Street 9. Each Night, I Dream of Home 10. The Path of Sorrows 11. Patterns of the Soul 12. The Well of Forever 13. The Rules of the Game
  • Poor CGI

Although the writing is not bad the special effects and CGI as compared to Babylon 5 are very poor. That makes the whole series look poorly made
  • Great but short :-(

Babylon 5 was a great series, but it left a lot of questions. Crusade was supposed to answer those questions but unfortunately it was cancelled before it finished its first season. There was a lot of potential here, it's sad to see it wasted. I hope one day the series can be continued (I mean the overarching babylon 5 series, not specifically crusade)
  • Great Series

This was a very good series and had an enormous amount of potential. It's too bad that it was cancelled after 13 episodes. It had a lot of great characters that never had the chance to really develop. Peter Woodward as Galen and Gary Cole as Captain Gideon were excellent. I would highly recommend watching Babylon 5 before watching this series, however, the series is able to stand on its own.
  • Great spin-off of Babylon 5, though it ended too soon

It's sad that studio politics ended this series before it began; seems to happen to all the best series (see Firefly). Crusade really could have gone somewhere great, but it was terminated before it built enough steam to get there. Sadly, given that fact, this series will probably only appeal to Babylon 5 fans (though no B5 back-story is required to enjoy this series). The characters and writing were strong. Like any series, some episodes were better than others, but for those who remember some of the stinkers from the first season of B5, I can assure you this is a MUCH better first season. Personally, I think the best episodes are those with Galen, who's one of the strongest characters in the entire B5 franchise.
  • Wow.....

extremely dissapointing. after the movie i was expecting some of the same character. speaking of which the cast except 3 people are terrible and do not fit their positions, they just dont fit. Furthermore the graphics half the time seem to have degressed to 1992. lastly they have creativly changed the babylon history. seems they ran outta ideas and money.
  • Would love to see but...

The download for the war zone has a problem.I downloaded a B5 episode at the same time so it must be a problem with the file itself......please resolve this soon. It is still waiting in my Que while you already have the cash lol. Still love iTunes though =)

If you're not familiar with this short-lived series, be advised that "Complete Series" means the collection of all episodes that were produced and broadcast. It is certainly not complete in the sense of telling a whole story with all plot threads tied up in a satisfactory fashion. The first season was never actually completed, so it's a bit like reading a novel and finding the last few chapters missing. I'll give this four stars nonetheless because it was a darn fine series, often thought provoking or interesting or funny. The handful of episodes in this collection will leave you wondering what might have been had the show returned better numbers; perhaps, given time, it could've shared the success of the Babylon 5 series that spawned it. Had the numbers been better, it might've at least received a one-movie opportunity to wrap up some plot threads, as happened with Farscape or Firefly. Ratings: the constant enemy of fans of quality science fiction on television. With your expectations now grounded in reality, you'll find much to enjoy in Crusade.
  • a fantastic spin-off of B5!

I love this series and wish it had lasted longer because it had great potential. The only reason it was canceled was because JMS wouldn't sacrifice his vision to appease the network.
