Whether you're in the Tea Party or the Occupy movement, you should enjoy the superb writing and insight offered by Yes Minister. The dialogue is so good, I've seen every episode multiple times and I know that when I watch them yet again, I'll still be laughing! A warning for American viewers though... it takes a while to get to know the characters--make sure you watch at least 3 episodes-- the more you watch, the more you'll wonder why this series isn't required viewing for every voter!

Especially of interest to anyone interested in politics or government. Many of the basic principles transcend time and echo outside of the British system as well. Intelligent, won't appeal to those seeking cheap gags and vulgarity. Great characters that are fun to watch develop over the arc of the show and its follow-up, "Yes Prime Minister."
  • Some of the best writing in a TV series

My wife insisted that I watch one of these episodes and I was hooked in the first 5 minutes. The verbal sparing of the characters and the run on dialogs of Humphrey are actually timeless. This is an extremely intelligent show full of humor that an informed and smart viewer will absolutely love.
