Can’t believe I’ve been listening to these guys since 2003. I was about 13 when I found out about them, and here I am at 30 almost 31 still buying their music. This album makes me so happy 🤙

I've been waiting for this record for a good long while, and these wonderful boys have smashed my expecations to teensy pieces. It freaking straight up rips from start to finish, and MS continues to prove that they're at the top of their game and some of- if not literally- the best in the business.

I've been listening to misery signals since I was in high school (for me that means about 6 years). Their brand of melodic hardcore/metal core enraptured me; so the news of ultraviolet's release was quite a pleasant surprise. Ultraviolet is undoubtedly MS' best album to date, as well as their most subtle and experimental. The band has chosen to emphasize the melodic hardcore side of their sound in this work, but don't think that means the work is softer than their previous releases, it's not; there is less chugging on this album, and the riffs displayed here are furnished with depth and style. Each song truly has it's own place in the album, standing apart from each other in their own unique way; no song's riffs or musical themes blend together when I'm thinking about the album, every song is distinct and I can distinguish them with ease. Breakdowns are used sparingly here, with a preference given to riffs. This makes the breakdowns that are present all the more memorable, and it's part of why each song feels distinct. This album is a joy the first time through, but I believe it is a grower. Each time I listen I gain a new appreciation for the musicianship on display and the structure of the songs, it's similar to a counterparts album in that respect(their albums are typically growers as well). I don't believe any praise is needed for the vocals here, they are evidently good. Jesse kills it! It's not within my power to exaggerate my adoration for this work; buy to enjoy this band's magnum opus!!

Welcome back Jesse! And the record did not disappoint! The musicianship is as great as ever from the Morgan bros, Stu & Kyle. Branden’s drumming specifically is one of the key aspects of Misery Signals that makes them standout as a band and he is firing on all cylinders again in this release! Fans of both eras of the band will enjoy this record.

I’m way late to the party with Misery Signals but I’m very glad I’m here now because this record is amazing. Old Ghost might be my favorite track. So many twists, turns, and emotions throughout. This is melodic hardcore at its finest.
