A few years back when the album was released I gave up on this album because of the first three songs being very lack luster. I just revisited it to give it another try and got hooked. They created something special here. If you want to listen to the old stuff, do it. If you want a fresh view of the band give it a shot. Play it in the background on YouTube and you’ll begin to appreciate what’s there. I hope the band stops pushing their worst tracks out there as singles. I hate every song on Bad Vibrations. That was by far their worst album. The single Miracle just released lacks originality and I’ll cringe if I hear it again.
  • Absolutely love it - don’t listen to the haters

ADTR definitely experimented stylistically with this album but it’s honestly very good. There’s some classic ADTR style but mixed with some punk/pop vibes. Different but that’s okay! It’s not Homesick, but bands evolve. Their job would be very boring if they couldn’t be artists and bring us new, fun music. I’m obsessed 🤷🏼‍♂️

Hey, I’ve been listening to these guys since high school. I’ve been to their concerts and let me tell you, the energy they bring is like drinking 93 octane. Toilet paper hanging from chandeliers and blood on the floor. Amazing. Having said that, this is my least favorite album. BUT, if your worst album still has bangers on it, you’re doing alright in my book. Last Chance to Dance made me make stank face. You should at least give all the songs a good unbiased listen.
  • Not the ADTR we want

Last chance to dance and resentment are the only two songs that are ADTR we all want. The rest is pop garbage honestly and I hate to say that because every other album you guys have put out I literally love every song. This album is a huge disappointment

I remember when this album first came out and not really being a fan of it. But now, I’ve actually sat down and listened to this album a little more often, and some of my opinions have changed. Some songs I still don’t really enjoy (F.Y.M., Viva La Mexico, and Re-Entry) Though, there are some songs that do retain some staple ADTR elements (ie Last Chance to Dance, Resentment, Everything We Need) and the rest of the songs aren’t bad if you remove the rest of ADTR’s discography, but that’s the main issue with this album. It’s hard to really listen to this album knowing that the dudes who made songs like “Degenerates” and “Bloodsucker” also made songs like “Mr. Highway’s Thinking About The End” and “The Downfall Of Us All.” Though, if you’re someone like me who doesn’t really mind some of the changes in a band, even if it doesn’t give off the same vibe as before, then this album won’t actually be that bad of a listen (even considering how much more of a Alternative Rock vibe there is to this). But I might just be dumb in the end, so I’ll say this: Either pass on this album and listen to ADTR’s previous albums, download the songs you think that you’ll enjoy the most, or just give the whole record a spin to form your own opinion. I gave this album a second chance, and my opinion was changed. You may not agree with me, and that’s ok, but give albums like these a spin every now and then and you’ll find at least one good and consistent thing about albums like this😁. Cant wait to see what’s next for this band, even if it isn’t similar to their albums from before.
  • Most underwhelming ADTR album in a long time

So, it's finally out. New album from one of the most influential artists ever to grace our ears. I'm just gonna write what I thought about a couple of the notable tracks to me, and give a sort of overall idea of what I thought. If you know me at all, you know this band is one of the most important musical discoveries in my whole life. I could write 10 paragraphs just about that, but I'll save the story here, and just be specific. This album was one we had to wait a while for, almost 15 months. When Degenerates came out, I was left wondering how drastically this change was going to affect the band going forward. It was far too poppy for me to enjoy as much as other stuff from them, but it was an intriguing first release. Next, of course was Resentment, and this is where I seriously got hyped to hear the rest of the album. Resentment hits that line for me right between catchy and heavy, and I listened to it tons. Now that the rest of the songs are finally here, I can say for sure that this album sounds far better when listened to all at once. It felt super cohesive, and like there was a solid, defined direction and they stuck to it like glue. I think the 3 best tracks were probably Brick Wall, Resentment, and Permanent (in no particular order). These ones felt the most original and had the best balance between light and heavy in my opinion. All in all this album is great to just chill to and relax with. I think what everyone wanted was a return to A Day To Remember's heavier roots, and more stuff like Bad Vibrations (one of their heaviest albums to date). But they definitely were going for pure originality with this, and in that, it was a resounding success. But if you wanted something to headbang to, or to give you goosebumps, I don't think this is gonna do anything for you. In conclusion, a solid album, and a few bangers in there, but nothing game changing at all. It wasn't what people were hoping for, and I totally get why, because that's what this band is known for: blending metal with pop-punk in a way that made us all fall in love with them. This is a big departure from the norm for A Day To Remember, and it sort of half-paid off. I like it, but it's not gonna be something I listen to on repeat.

Creativity and integrity has hardcore flatlined, their worst album by a metric landslide
