  • Not too good.

Glitchy. Worked fine, now several screens to go thru. Today paper would not appear. Good app only when it’s working.
  • Be aware of the terms of the digital subscription

Keep in mind that if you have a digital subscription, there are no refunds if you cancel. Make sure to cancel before the monthly bill gets posted. Seems like unfair billing practices but it is apparently written in the fine print.
  • Poor interface

I have tried various ProJo apps over the years. All have been poorly made, buggy, and frustrating. The only thing that the current app has done well was to take my money. It is slow, difficult to use on a tablet, and full of pop-up advertisements blocking content. I won’t renew.
  • Terrible changes

Recent changes make this app user unfriendly. It was easy to read pages before. Now I have to go to text version or blow up pages using + or - buttons. When finished I went to pages and when clicking on a page nothing happened. You have made navigation very cumbersome. We hate it.
  • Personalized Notifications

Pretty good app overall but the notification preferences don’t work. I opted out of sports notifications and yet I still get 2 notifications a day about high school sports (I really don’t care about high school sports).

It is bad. Where is my paper format?
  • New format

8/27/23 Gentlemen, I find this the most difficult format I’ve ever seen in a newspaper. How do I get back to my old format? It was easy for me to get from page or from section to section. I did not have to load a PDF to get to a page. No operation is easy on this new format. Is this because I’m in the eedition? My wife still gets the old format on her iPad. Please tell me how I can go back to the old system. Thank you in advance for your response. From a long time subscriber Denis Thibeault 401-480-8565 please call or text me.
  • Day Late - Search feature is weak

I am a 7-day subscriber and remain greatly frustrated by the weak online version. Counting the ways: - print version is newer than online. Example:, Nancy Armour column of 4-22-23 is in print but when I search ProJo.con online I get a column from her dated in 2022. - where’s the log in screen? Instead I get a “Restore Purchase” option. No, I’ve already purchased it. - “top stories” is misleading - not all your articles are there. - gutting the editorial page is a mistake. You could just print daily letters to the editor for free opinions. Your reporting remains strong, the exposes of ethics, state government wins and losses is critically needed and political coverage is important. But hoping you will make the online version as current and full as your print version. Jim Roehm N. Kingstown

That blue flashing ad at the bottom of the screen is very annoying. I pay for Projo and would prefer to not see the ad. Otherwise it seems fine.
  • Annoying popups

Keeps displaying annoying popups to subscribe even though I am a subscriber and logged in
