I’m disappointed with the connectivity issues when casting from android to my Roku TV. I also have an issue with my iPhone 16 Pro Max. This issue started when I upgraded to WiFi 6, restarting the network temporarily helps the issue.

Setup was incredibly easy. I’ve actually had the system for two months and put off setting it up because I was afraid I might have difficulty doing so. I kept telling myself the next time my internet goes down you need to bite the bullet and set it up. My internet was down for two hours. As soon as service was restored, I set up EERO. Highly recommend you download the app first. I love the fact that you have the option of using your existing router name and password so that you don’t need to update this on all your devices. Whoever thought of that is a genius!
  • Red dot mystery

I agree with the other reviewer that the red dot on the app icon needs improvement. It indicates SOMETHING is new but it’s anyone’s guess what that is. App developers: Fix it so when the red indicator dot appears and the user clicks on it, go directly to an explanation such as “Your software version has been updated” or “An unknown device named sniff1 has been trying to connect to your network.”

  • Automated Firmware Updates FAIL *EVERY* TIME

I’ve had the Eero 7 for about a year now. When it works, which is 97% of the time, you dint even think about it, which is nice and what you expect. The feature set is decent as well. But…for the other 3% of the time…🧱😖 The engineers who assume that the automated firmware update will work and didn’t create an automated rollback should be forced to sleep on a pile of ants covered in honey. The automated firmware update has failed nearly EVERY time. This causes the internet to go down and the ONLY way to resolve it to factory reset and reconfigure the system. ALL CUSTOMIZATION (names of devices, people and access levels, etc) are lost. This has to be REDONE every time a firmware update occurs, and means you’re messing with this thing for AT LEAST AN HOUR. An hour wasted. If you have to call tech support, which really are fantastic, add another 30m to that. I can’t stand the FORCED AUTOMATED UPDATES. The marketing team and engineers who approved this feature set as is should be forced to be sleep deprived at least two nights every week just to have some empathy for the kind of frustration they have caused. If you’re tech savvy, you like that it usually just works but be frustrated at the ‘you’re not allowed to do that baby task, we will or you don’t need it’ feature set. If you’re not tech savvy, you’ll love the feature set and general ease of use. But you’ll also have your internet go offline near monthly with the automated firmware update until they fix this horrid update process. You’ll likely be calling support every month when the automated update fails and may even become an expert at resetting it from scratch. You can think of it as being forced to learn a new party trick if it happens at your buddy’s house when (not if) it happens. But he may already know it, so you lose there too. I would give this five stars, but after a year using this and *STILL* no fix to THE AUTOMATIC UPDATE FEATURE is ridiculous. Every executive, PM, engineer or marketing team that has not prioritized this should be DEMOTED AND/OR FIRED!! It’s that bad and it’s THAT frustrating. FIX THE DARN AUTOMATIC FIRMWARE UPDATE PROCESS!!!!

Hooked up Eero and stood next the main device for a speed test. It was God-awful. Disconnected Eero, and got up to 650 on my iPhone. This product is a joke.

The Eero interface is intuitive for most users who want a simple, automated Wi-Fi setup. However, power users may find it too minimalistic, and at times, exasperating. Advanced features, where available, are scattered throughout the app and difficult to locate. For instance, connecting 2.4 GHz IoT devices can be frustrating, as the option to temporarily disable 5 GHz is buried deep in the menus and hard to spot. Overall, Eero is a solid choice for basic connectivity—ideal for PCs, tablets, and a few Zigbee IoT devices. But if you need reliable 2.4 GHz support for numerous 2.4 GHZ IoT devices, consider more robust options, carefully.
  • Remove the pause option

Due to your option to pause devices it has made me very irritated every day because my parents decide that it is a great thing to block your child’s WiFi. I tell my parents it is to interact with my friends but they say it is useless playing games and doing this with the WiFi so they just it off completely, and when I get to use the WiFi they force me to do things such as doing chores so I barely have time to play games.
