Pay $500.00 for the Eko core 5000 then you’ll need pay 100.00 per year to use it. I’m reselling mine and now use my Apple Watch instead. Hire a better marketing team that understands you’ll get more money by letting people do monthly.

Would be nice to toggle modes. Cardiac, pulmonary, wide… from my Apple Watch instead of having to pull my phone out to do so.

Absolutely useless. When I initially purchased the stethoscope basic features like recording or sharing were included. Physicians do not need AI analysis. They need to save a file. Now you can’t even assign a patient name. You can’t do anything without paying an additional 100+. This is a complete waste of money and I should have stuck with Littmann.
  • Need to pay to use basic features

I was able to save a few recordings before without paying. I don’t need any AI analysis or patient profiles, just want to be able to save a recording to listen to later which should be a basic feature. Have to pay for everything - would not recommend.

I bought my Littmann to be able to record lung sounds to share with other providers. Now there is essentially no corresponding app to do that basic task unless I want to pay $120 per year. That’s ridiculous! That works out to about $20 per shift I work on an ambulance to use a feature that was supposed to come with $400 stethoscope.
  • Useless without paid features

I was so excited about this but there comes the catch…100$ for paid features. I was going to buy one for my nephew who is a nurse and is going to medical school but I had to change my mind. The device is beautiful and has a very professional look but if you can’t use all the features it’s kinda like having a beautiful dress that doesn’t fit you. If at least we could pay it monthly… but you have to pay the whole yearly fee at once.

It’s understandable paying the original ~$350 price for a good ‘scope. I had a Littmann 3200 a few years back that was well worth the money that I allowed a friend to talk me out of. That being said, to have to pay a hefty yearly subscription to use what should be inherent features is a scam (recording, saving files, etc.). Oh, and let’s face it - any medical professional has no real need for the AI features if you’ve been trained properly. Now, after app updates, it seemingly forces you into signing up for the subscription. Yes, you can ‘cancel at anytime before the paid version starts’, but why drag someone through all of that if all they want to do is use the elementary features of the app, such as low, mid, and high frequency filtering along with noise reduction, and possibly the ability to link a Bluetooth device in order to allow someone to hear what you’re hearing. To be honest, I am appalled at how forceful this company is getting with their sales tactics. I believe I will be ditching this one and trying to find an old Littmann 3200.
  • Awful mute button

Used to love using Eko wireless but after an update they added a terrible mute button that is automatically enabled by default EVERY TIME I turn on the device between patients. WHY. Why would you add this. Turn on, to mute???? For a device whose purpose is to listen???? Each encounter I have to go into the app, just to disable mute! Incredibly frustrating to nerf this expensive device, please get rid of muting!!

The app will not work at all or any features, including the Bluetooth with AirPods unless you do the paid one year, which is 119 subscription
