It was excellent until they decided to update and ruin the app

It’s the only app in 2025 that doesn’t have a dark icon. It looked really ugly, so I removed Elsa from my home screen. After that, I started using it less and less, and now I’ve canceled my subscription.

The app is very laggy. The AI helper’s voice is delayed by about three seconds, and during practice, tapping to speak often does nothing. Just endless dots with no response. For an interaction-based app, it’s full of bugs and feels unusable.

The recording function should be improve as soon as possible. By the way, the avatar of the app should be abled to close.

It kept bugging me with all of the bugs but when it was working correctly if worked well!

It always show “connecting” while I am learning. The experience is very bad. I am in Canada now, and my internet connection is stable. I connect to the internet directly, no VPN or LAN. I can use other apps smoothly.

I have seen no amelioration in my accent, but I still think the app is worth it. Also, never have I seen an app so scrutinous and demoralizing—keep that in mind. It is super uncompromising: it hates the “stopping t” at the end of words; it confuses the “ð” and the “v,” and the “θ” with the “f.” With all honesty, there have been a myriad moments where I’ve wanted to rip my vocal chords out and eat them, all due to how inconsistent and unjust the app is sometimes. The app isn’t a waste of money, but I feel there must be better ways to improve an accent.
