the app doesnt work; we wanted to do a trial on the app; it said free trial for a week and then will charge $100 for a year. we downloaded the app and realized it automatically charged us for $100... what is worse is that the app doesnt even work... we tried to cancel and realized it has already locked us for one full year... we tried reaching out to them but no one got back to us

I inadvertently selected this app for my new hearing aid. When I picked up my new hearing aids my doctor told me that this was the wrong app. A week after downloading, Apple charged me $99 for a yearly subscription. I immediately cancelled my subscription but Apple stated they can’t refund my money and this subscription is good until June 2026. I deleted this app since I’m never going to use it.

My hearing aids broke, so I decided to try this as an emergency backup. Used with Jabra Elite Active Gen 2 ear buds and an iPhone 14 Pro Max, this app worked, but the perceived delay was too long to really be useful. It wiil not substitute for even really ancient prescription hearing aids. Reluctantly, I cancelled my subscription.

This app only connects with Bluetooth or wired speakers/headphones not hearing aids as it alludes to in the advertisement.

The app auto charged my moms card with $100s for a subscription and now she’s gonna beat me

When I was reading the apple ad for the AirPod Pro that could help as a hearing aid I did not see any where that you’d have to spend $99 a year for the app. If there was a disclaimer it was not noticeable. And the reality is it’s only going to be helpful in a sitting down or standing still setting. The microphone is on your phone so if your phone is moving you’re going to hear EVERY movement your phone makes. I tried it in my pocket and you can hear the phone sliding against the material. I tried it in my phone carrier attached to my hip and you hear all the bumping. I would not have bought the AirPods just for music, I bought it for help with hearing which is how it is presented in the ad. Oh and speaking of music, if you don’t have this app open and you turn the AirPods on it will automatically turn your music on. I realize it’s not meant to replace a real hearing aid completely, however that’s how Apple is portraying it. Shame on you Apple.

Downloaded but only a free trial. Not going to pay to use this app.

I tried the app and immediately my own voice was echoing back. The interface has several sliders , all of which have no labels . Turning the AI on or off made no difference. Considering how prevalent the issue was I would have thought there would be some direction or something about how to resolve it easily . Maybe just me but didn’t want to spend an hour researching to try and fix it
