⚠️ Security Concern: How do I permanently remove this from my iOS, its interaction with all of my other apps, devices, my AppleID, and my life?

As a business owner having very good grammar is important because, many times you communicate via emails or texts. Ever since using Grammarly my writing skills have improved so much.

Bring the dictation back and the menu where I could write it up, make corrections, and copy and paste.
  • Great app, need ability to shift keyboard!

Overall loving the app and has helped improve written communication. One BIG feature I wish for integration would be the option to shift/condense the keyboard to the right or left (like on iPhone’s default keyboard) because I don’t have big hands and I’d much prefer to type/swipe with one hand rather than ALWAYS needing to use the standard, large keyboard! Please please please make this an option in a future update.
  • Update: iPhone version is terrible: autocorrect is uncontrollable and the cursor is hard to follow.

I’m leaving a an updated review now because Grammarly has embarrassed me thirty-too many times. Why doesn’t it use the blue and red squiggly lines in the iPhone version instead of messing everything up “automatically” ? I will explain my frustration ... bottom line, until Grammarly fixes their many bugs they should not be charging high prices for this app. I say go with the cheaper alternatives. 1. I do both creative and techical writing. AI is not good for anything creative, in fact it will dissway you from being individualistic. It’s best for people who want to write very straight forward and factual information such as directions / instructions. So I mainly use it for spelling and grammar corrections which it’s really hit or miss at. For the technical writing, where I refer named technologies and or brand and names or refer to programming code, my god, it is a pain if not totally detrimental to accidentally have running. It just spelled checked a bunch of code I was texting to a colleague, made changes while I was it on the fly typing it and the “corrected” code just broke our program. I had no idea it was changing what I was texting! What happened to letting someone type and underlining problemed area? (at the same time just now I spelled “problemed” proplemed and it did not underline or autocorrect it!) Just before writing this review I typed to a coworker “Try WLED”( the name of a program) and hit send and it autocorrected it to “Try whales” without asking !!! 2. As you are spell-checking a document or any writing such as this review now, the cursor jumps around (down and up) to various areas in the writing that Grammarly thinks it needs to correct... but your screen doesnnot follow the cursor. If you have a doc that is bigger than your screen, ugh, it is so confusing. 3. Here are my old problems that that still exist. Punctualion and plural vs singular nouns and verbs are incorrect in complex sentences. Mispellings such as “ doesnnot” (which should be “does not”, above) are not caught (I am using Grammarly now and it did not catch the mistake). Also someth, ing very strange, Grammarly will tell you that a document has no issues but sometimes if you keep trying a more suddenly it will see tons of errors from earlier in the document. For example I just finished checking this document on the last sentence and it said there were no issues “you made this look easy!” Since complete in the last sentence it now says I have 18 errors! Glad I didn’t hit send! Lastly, when using the active spell check function, Grammarly automatically replaces words you have typed with very incorrect ones because there are cases that it doen’t understand why you used those words. That is SUPPER annoying. The app/program would be amazing if it applied its own set of squiggly red or other colored lines to show us in texts messages and emails apps that we are making possible mistakes. Having to copy and paste everything into the web version of the app just to see the red lines and then copy past the corrected text back into the original email is a pain. Grammarly has a ton of potential but is definitely not worth the subscription price yet. I have found free chatgpt (you have to copy and paste too but it’s free!) to me more reliable. This review was checked using Grammarly on iOS 17. I see some errors do you?

I used to love this program because the autocorrect was way more intuitive than the iOS basic keyboard programming, plus it learns from your commonly used words and commonly misspelled words so it doesn’t try to suggest something you would never say (unlike typical AC). BUT… The latest update moved the world button to where the keyboard letters change to numbers so I keep hitting that and end up looking at emojis or gifs. It’s the ONLY keyboard to have the button in this spot so there’s no avoiding it if you ever use anything else (and not all programs work with Grammarly). I’m so frustrated I finally disabled it!
  • It was amazing

It was great when I first got it, but it’s so buggy now. It’ll correct the same sentence MULTIPLE times. It’ll make one correction for what I typed, then flag its own correction as a correction, and correct that correction AGAIN! It’s the Inception of corrections. It’ll also flag something as being wrong, but won’t load to tell me what it is maybe 40% of the time. I feel like I’m being trolled by the AI. It’s at the point where I’m looking for another application as an alternative. Very sad because I used to love this app.
