Service is great; watch all the time. But app lacks picture-in-picture, so I use Safari instead, so I can multi-task

Love the content but one of the few, if only, streaming service without a Picture in Picture option. Please add and I’ll add another star to my BritBox rating!
  • About this app…

I really like the Britbox service, and have had no problems watching on phone or tv since I’ve had it. But this app! It really needs some work. I’m hate how the least touch starts a show. There needs to be some kind of buffer so you can scroll through without a show starting up right away. The continue watching feature is even worse: when I’m going to watch something, I usually want to scroll through what I’ve watched and get re-oriented, because I often skip around from one show to another. But the least touch sends me not just to the show, but starts it up. It’s very annoying and not useful. I have to stop, back out, and then usually end up doing a search just so I can find the show screen. Because somehow it’s not easily accessible otherwise. I’m sure you can do better.

Without Picture In Picture functionality this app demands you view only it exclusively-or else it will stop everything! This means I can’t check to see whether a package is on its way or send a message while BritBox is playing. The BritBox app will not play with everyday life and that’s too needy to be my go-to or preferred, even though the programs are.
  • Still has some work to do.

BritBox streaming service has improved over the last few years, however, the features that it really needs to have in the settings is to disable auto play.
  • update is a failure

The programming is variable, but some programs are excellent. However, the update has produced a problem: during programs periodic buffering occurs, always at the beginning and often within the program. I do not have any of these problems when streaming other apps.
  • Needs Picture in Picture

I love Britbox and all it offers, but Picture in Picture needs to be available while using the app.
  • Only two things missing…

I enjoy watching BritBox very much! I have the app on my phone and TV. I’m able to watch my favorite shows while at home or on travel for work. However, there are two things that I would find helpful. One, it would be great if I could download shows to watch offline while on the plane. The second would be the capability to pop out the viewing window so I can multitask while watching a program on my phone. If I get an email, I have to close BritBox in order to respond vs. popping the window out and having both BritBox and my mailbox open allowing me to not miss a beat. Thanks for considering! I do like Britbox but get tired of watching the wheel spinning instead of the shows I choose. You would think that if they want $10.00 more a year they would have fixed this problem. I also miss the 1960s Avengers with Emma Peel and John Steed.
