I changed my number and now when I try to restart service it gives me an error and says you have to be an active AT&T customer to use this service. Well I am. This happened before and nobody was of any help. Please fix that so I can access this app.

Out of nowhere this app started using a massive amount of battery and was causing my phone to heat up significantly. Uninstalled until they fix whatever is causing this behavior.

Calls aren’t even showing in the app until well after the call comes through.

Downloaded the app on Thursday. Today is Monday it’s still allowing the same spam call to come through. Didn’t block any spam calls actually. Not worth it.
  • Battery drainer

Most of the time I never notice it was installed. But today it drained my battery like someone opened a flood gate. 99% of the time I can use my phone all day without a charge. Today my phone got down to 2% before I could get it to a charger. Mind you, it had been on a charger just 3 hours earlier. So I looked to see what was draining my battery and it was active Armour. I deleted the app and the draining almost stopped. Won’t use that app again.

the application can’t meaningfully block spam calls coming from one single area code. it seems like they require payment to block area codes, but i would rather switch cell providers
  • Reporting VPN bug issue

I've used the AT&T ActiveArmor app since day one, when it first rolled out. For the most part, it’s been great, until recently. I’m a career Techie & understand how important it is, especially in this day and age, to protect our lives that, sadly, exist on our phones. That said, the VPN service/option in the ActiveArmor app has been having serious issues for months. When I put my phone down for the night, I make sure that I go into app updates. I update every app that needs updating, then go into “Settings” and make sure I’m connected to my personal internet. VPN is set (always set) to ‘ON’, and after checking that, I can put my phone under my pillow for the night so I can get a good night's sleep. However, the app’s VPN has had a bug that’s been plaguing my brand-new 17 Pro Max (purchased from the Apple Store on November 9, 2025) for the last 5 to 6 months. Issue:: Every night, someone or something causes the ActiveArmor VPN to automatically turn off. I know this because I’ve been monitoring it for the last few months, which is/has been affecting my already diagnosed ‘Chronic Insomnia’. I’m adding some context to this reported bug issue so that you know that I know what I’m talking about. I use one VPN, and it’s ActiveArmor. I know that using more than one VPN at the same time can/will cause interference, allowing hackers to access everything on my cell, which nowadays is a person’s entire life. Because I rely on the app daily and all it offers, I’m advising you of this “bug issue” so I can appreciate it even more and go back to sleeping through the night, instead of worrying that someone is hacking my cell in the middle of the night. Many thanks, Elena
