The app has improved over the years and man did this app go years without any type of updates no matter how many people wrote reviews and asked for improvements, but one change that still hasn’t been fixed is once you start watching a series and you have to stop for the moment the app doesn’t let you continue watching the episodes from where you left off and continue playing the remainder episode that come after unless you research the series that hopefully you remember what the series is called and look it up again an reselect the episode where you left off for the next episode to continue playing after completion I hope this made sense and can one day be fixed so others than I can continue enjoying the great anime that this app provides thanks for your time

So I find that HIDIVE just is lacking in organization and user experience. It needs a rating system for their anime. You don’t know what’s good and you can’t seem to figure out what’s new. It’s just a mess imo. Eventually you catch on to the interface but by then you’re bored and just using myanimelist to see if anything for HIDIVE shows up. Which doesn’t help its model! I ended up watching a bunch of shows that turned out to be bangers. Unfortunately no one will know because I can’t review them. I think Crunchyroll has created a good system with their rating system. I would even argue it’s better than Netflix. Netflix dropped the ratings system which made me no longer enjoy Netflix anymore. People want to be on the same page with other humans. We want to be talking about the same things to find commonality. Reviews and feedback is how we communicate. Even social media is failing at this now. There is no reason to scroll if you only see comments that cater to you! I think HIDIVE would have better success with a ratings system.

Need I say more? The UI needs a desperate overhaul that it will probably never get. It’s honestly worth it to wait until the show you want to watch comes to another platform.

Can’t watch downloaded videos offline ????

I like the app and how much anime you can watch on it but lately it keeps crashing. I hope the devs will fix it soon so I can get back to enjoying the app.

I promise you if this app didn’t have some of the anime’s I really enjoy i would never use this app again. It’s so bad it’s almost comical. The app randomly crashes often. The subtitles will either not work or will mesh together with other subtitles so it becomes a jumbled mess. I’m honestly convinced that they either have one guy who’s trying his best to keep up but it’s actually Impossible to fix all of the issues or they don’t have anyone working on improving they app and they have given up on being even slightly usable. It’s a shame because there are a ton of great anime’s on here but this app is mostly a waste of time.

The shows are the only reason to get this app. The UI is so awful you can’t just select a series and pick which episode you want to watch unless you go to the search feature, find the show page, then select an older episode. As of right now, you can only watch the next episode and the only way to do that is you pause the episode and scroll down.

The app is not working when I try to search for something it doesn’t work and am being told to retry buh it still has same I tried watching one piece but it doesn’t show

Their app is so bad; they need so much work done. Everything is not saved after you watch an episode, and the next episode does not show up after you’re done with it. You have to look it up every single time. It’s like pulling teeth. I wish I had figured that out sooner instead of paying for it.

why so money hungry
