  • Not Good

It’s basically been 2 months of audio issues and the app has been updated multiple times but nothing has changed. I have to use a VPN just for audio to play for like 10 minutes then stops and NO ITS NOT MY WIFI. I have quite literally been to different states and on different WiFi but audio is still trash. Not spending a single cent on here anymore even if it does get fixed which I doubt.

  • Good content but Audio is terrible

Audio lacks the most basic buffering or the ability to download and listen effectively. I can watch HD YTube videos with my reception but can’t listen to audio only without restarting, and messing with the app repeatedly and constantly.

honestly, this is probably one of the best apps I’ve ever used or downloaded. The stories are really good. Some of them are long and fulfilling. Some of the chapters be short, but still entertaining.. the authors actually go through the comments and answer or rearrange whatever they need to depending on what some of the readers said the pricing for chapters and the pricing for buying any coins on this app is absolutely amazing. They have great prices and it actually kinda like works out for anything else that you wanna do inside. I’ve had this app for a few years and I absolutely love it. The only thing I was saying it downside is that recently I’ve been noticing that ads are popping up at the bottom of the chapters and when I’m scrolling sometimes they’ll pop up and asked me to like watch an ad to get rid of them when they weren’t there a few years ago, and I wouldn’t appreciate them popping up now

  • Money pit and broken app

This app is a drain on users finances. It’s designed to force people to spend buckets of money to read pap. Many of the stories have hundreds upon hundreds of chapters, and all of the ongoing ones seem to just stop working after a while. I have found a few stories to read, but overall this app is more of a headache than it is a decent reading application. To top everything off there’s no way to actually link an email address to an account once you’ve downloaded the app. I’ve tried over and over and have yet to be successful in adding my email address to the username that they assigned me. Meaning I can’t sign out, or I will lose everything I’ve spent over the course of the last six months. The app is a rip off!

  • Good, but needs better tags and other things.

When I actually find a work, I like it, it’s good. The issue comes about when trying to find a good one, though or one that matches certain criteria I want. Some of the tags help with that, but if try to search for a certain one like a show, movie, cartoon, anime, or a manga, it doesn’t exactly work out. The current tags generalize the work, it doesn’t give any specifics. Like tags for: The series in a tag A crossover tag Multiple series fused in the work Multiple series tags on a work Maybe genre tags And a better search function, that allows for more granularity. The better tags would help with this, and filtering to search for or block certain tags from showing in the search results. A list of user profiles that we liked, to see more of their works or just see what they’re reading and saying about it. And even the blocked ones.

  • Best of Mediocre Options

This has lately been my favorite fanfiction app. My biggest complaint up until now has been that there’s no real insight into how long a story is other than how many chapters there are, which is a relatively meaningless statistic given how short some chapters are. But the interface just seems to be getting worse, the latest update forces through massive margins which makes reading a pain and the home screen layout where you can now see a lot fewer book cover pages at once. Finally, the audiobook feature went from being ahead of all the other competition to get clunkier and clunkier to the point now that it’s so unreliable it’s not even worth using - the frustration just gets too high. Compared to the rate at which fanfiction.net has been degrading this is doing much better, and you can tell that there are people actively working on it. Other than fixing these issues, one other thing that I think would be a huge improvement is for there to be a ranking based on lifetime power stones I like I get that the idea is that resetting the power stone scores keeps it fresh, but I think that that doesn’t disservice to some of the older hidden gems on the website. Please fix the app so I can update this review!

  • Bad customer service

They have very bad customer service. I wouldn’t advise or tell anyone to join.

  • App is great but customer service is terrible

Overall I enjoy the WebNovel app with its variety of books and events to engage readers but have discovered that some of there events have scam pop ups and that their customer service is terrible. In the recent Halloween 2026 event it encourages you to buy badges that you don’t need. I tried to exit and somehow the system purchased it in error and debited my account. When I tried to fix it, the real nightmare began. It took 14 attempts to get online customer service to connect with me after uninstalling and reinstalling the app and doing a variety of work around a. The agent Christian was horrible, rude, unprofessional and very unaccommodating. He kept ignoring my request to ask for a supervisor five times and hung up the call on me twice and never helped refund the coins I asked for. The online customer service does not offer an easy way to file a complaint to remedy bad service like this. Or a phone number to call as well. Therefore, be careful of pop ups and the customer service by web novel since they don’t care about their clients. Been on the membership and paid hundreds over the years but they couldn’t help me the one time I needed it.

  • Bad Recent Updates

Updates screw with layout making it harder to read with. With no setting to fix what was done to the app. When going to website to try and read after update wrecked app it stops you from reading telling you to go to the ruined app.

  • Interface problems

App function is fine, but the UI interface keeps getting worse and worse and it feels like the developers are not doing anything about it. Sometimes it’s fine, and then out of nowhere that you are goes bad and stops working properly for several weeks to even a few months and just recently it got worse again. I don’t know why the developers have not fixed this UI changing problem yet.
