You should have the option to bill monthly instead of yearly you would get more subscribers

Just got my membership and discovered there’s no Picture in Picture functionality. I really hope it’s coming soon. Feels like a fair expectation for such price.
  • Credibility questioned

The platform lost most of its credibility for me when I saw that the Kardashians were giving classes. On what exactly? What could truly be useful to humanity other than how to get a rich husband or how to strategically get Plastic Surgery in order for your own bank account to be bigger. I don’t consider them having any thing of quality to contribute to humanity in anyway. In my opinion, they are bottom feeders.

I’m mean, works. Works as intended.
  • Impossible to get support if you experience a bug

The support doesn’t seem to have any humans in the loop so I’ve had an issue that hasn’t been resolved for weeks.
  • Unclear subscription terms and poor customer experience

I tried MasterClass briefly last year and quickly realized it was not for me. I believed I had cancelled, but later discovered that the subscription was actually annual with automatic renewal — something that was not clearly explained at sign-up. A year later I was charged $240 without any effective reminder, only a promotional-style email that was easy to miss. When I contacted support, they refused to provide a refund. In my opinion, this kind of subscription policy feels unfair and creates a negative customer experience. A well-known brand should focus on quality, not unclear subscription mechanics. UPDATE: MC resolved my problem.

Topics and classes were average. Worse was there auto renewal. I definitely turned off auto renewal but still got charged. Won’t refund money.

  • Offline use is buggy

The option to download videos is great - if it would work right. I select videos to download (while on full speed wifi) and then they don’t, and they disappear. I have to go find them again and try again. I frequently drive in areas without cell service and wanted to have the videos playing on my car audio. However, even if the video has finally downloaded successfully, the app itself won’t even open when there isn’t a connection. So the download feature sounds like it would be useful, but doesn’t really turn out to be. Without this feature, it’s pretty much useless to me. I hope this gets fixed. I like the content, even though the names of the videos get a bit wonky. Looks like they were designed for the web version and then they display weird in the app version. I can easily get around that though. Offline Mode, please!
  • Masters, but not always class

Great concept, but mixed execution. There are masters speaking to a variety of fields, but not all are teaching things from an implementable, executional techniques, I.e. a “class”. Examples of good classes were Chris Voss and Kim Scott’s “sessions” which taught specific actions that could be practiced. Many of the other videos were glorified YouTube- or Netflix-type documentary videos. Separately, the user interface could use some work. I find myself wishing there were a simple, clean list of series I added. Instead I have to scroll through the page of “continue watching”. Also, general navigation around videos, forward and backward, and tv casting smoothness could improve. Otherwise, great concept and fills a needed niche.
