This app is absolutely HORRIBLE! Paid for a subscription that I never use - all because of the horrible app. You can’t contact anyone, because in the app (that is horrible) it says there is no email associated with the subscription - even though it is clearly showing my email. Terrible service and even worse app.

First class I listened to: Levar Burton, “The power of storytelling.” Thinking I am going to learn something about telling stories. A lot of personal opinions. A lot of racial charged ideas. Some good pointers about storytelling and a couple good children stories read. Not really a class. Some of the best sections, in content, have “um” fillers. Not great for storytelling. I will to watch two other classes and will not cancel right away. Two stars because sound and image are good. The problem is with the content.

I requested my account be deleted on 12/23/2025. I say “requested” because users can’t just delete their account; you have to initiate the deletion process. On 12/28/2025 — 5 days after attempting to delete my account — I was charged $180. I was told by customer service that my account hadn’t yet been deleted and that refunds are not provided under these circumstances.

The app is a joke! Can’t listen with other app in use like during workouts, user experience is bad.. How can this company have such bad app

Whenever I complete a class the entire app freezes on a transition screen, and the screen is different every time. I have to completely stop the app and reopen on the Home Screen. UI is pretty intuitive and the classes are decent. Would appreciate more creative classes (i.e. painting, sculpting, calligraphy, etc.) but otherwise comprehensive.

This app is not easy to navigate. Over promote things I have no interest in. Hard to just resume where you were. Poor controls when casting. Overall not a great app.

I found this app disappointing and borderline deceptive. The ads are classic clickbait—promising depth and transformation but delivering very little substance. Most of the instructors come across as self-important and spend more time repeating vague truisms than actually teaching anything practical or actionable. To make matters worse, the subscription auto-renews without adequate notice. That alone is enough to erode trust, especially when paired with marketing that already feels misleading. Overall, this app prioritizes hype and ego over genuine learning value. I would not recommend it.

This has been the WORST experience. Your website clearly crashed and there is no support to resolve this problem. My pregnant wife is crying and nobody can make this right. We are going to lose this promotion and am going to post on social media.

Periodically over the years I’ve subscribed to MasterClass. I subscribed last year and did not recognize or remember an auto-renewal feature was active. This year the subscription renewed automatically and I tried to cancel within four hours of notification, but Masterclass was not willing to refund me citing their policy. Whereas I cannot argue against breaking the policy, I’ve been a repeat customer and referred others, so I expected a better customer experience. Suffice it to say, I’ll never use or refer this application again.
