I’d say my current rating is ALMOST 5 stars. Been using this app for a year now? And having 80+ plants, it’s a godsend. Always appreciate the updates, too. Something I’ve been wanting to see for a long time: the ability to easily complete upcoming tasks. Like I’ll have 80 tasks one day and want to complete some of the tasks for the upcoming day if it’s all misting or fertilizing, but I have to click through each plant with multiple clicks. I wish there was a sliding option or a checklist button so I could mark them as completed just as easily as you can within today’s tasks. I’d also like to be able to post a progress update when I feel like it (not just a photo, they kind of get lost in the app) instead of only on the day it’s a task. It would also be so cool to see a page of progress updates where you can look at the photos in succession and compare them simply! I’d also like to see more planting options like growing hydro with leca! I have a few plants in leca and water and the tasks just don’t align with that. Thanks for being such a great app!

The app was NOT scanning the correct plant, did not provide the care of the plant such as soil, hardening, etc. I’m preferring “PictureThis” this app not only give you the complete guidance but it analyzes the plant 😳
  • Good but watering schedule not helpful

I really had high hopes for this app and signed up for premium. I am finding a number of my plants are wilting yet their next water not scheduled for a few days or many days ahead and they are dry. I though the schedule based on plant, local weather and pot type.

Ever since I updated, Planta wants me to water my plants every day or every other day. Something isn’t right…

Sadly this app is a joke. I was really looking forward to using this to help track my pant’s health but after multiple scans, it could not detect the proper plant. I don’t want to manually add all the info in, THATS the point of the app and scan features. Very disappointed, requesting a refund.

I always overwater or underwater. This helps me stay on a good schedule and gives me tips on each of my plants. I enjoy being able to track my plants progress in the app.

UPDATE: OMG- the weather app…. thank you - thank you !! It even routs to my watch so no updates are missed. Incredible work. Also, discovered that Dr. Planta is generic and not plant specific , hopefully the data base grows and becomes more customizable. PRO- -company is incredibly responsive and seem to take feedback seriously. You can see their replies to customers feedback under the review section -more user friendly than many other apps I’v tried -the plant recognition is impressive and it was able to id. all but one of my plants. (water jasmine) -the information given is detailed and i’m excited to take progress pictures -It helps you find the most suitable place in your home via its light detector to place your plant to thrive -It reminds you daily of plant tasks. This can be annoying for some but, I’m forgetful and the reminder is appreciated. -I didn’t realize that I had 22 plants, inputting the information can be a little lengthy if you have a lot of plants as I did, but the investment seems to be worth it for the information alone. -It provides feedback on wether or not your plant is conducive to the zone that you live in to grow successfully. This app is super useful when you have more than 5 plants that range from tropical, to vegetables, to bonsais, to succulents. GROWS: -It would be incredible to have the app sync with the weather and alert when plants need to come in. (hail, cold front, high winds) to help alter water schedules as a result- low humidity water more, high =less, cold front =no water , etc.. SO- the free subscription is great but the app really shines when you upgrade. It’s affordable,( 3$/month,sacrifice a Starbucks and support the developers instead ) so worth it !

It is bizarre how clunky and unresponsive each update makes the app. Probably to avoid commercial use but that doesn't stop me from having 50 plants. What am I subscribing for?
