    I’ve unfortunately got 5 different model eufy cameras and a home base. The cameras constantly fail, do not charge even in direct sunlight, constant miss or provide incorrect facial recognition, gaps in continuous recording cameras, and constantly goes offline. I’ve raised at least 10 different tickets, with absolutely Unuseful customer service asking me to restart the device, uninstall, or even connect to my phones hotspot (my internet is 500MBs with extenders all around).

  • Menu Issues

    I use this app on both an iPhone and an iPad, both on the latest iOS version. There are 2 menu lists -- one for and one for portrait. It is a bit easier on an iPhone, as there is a expand collapse item in the upper right corner. However, on an iPad I need to rotate my device from portrait to landscape to see the "history" menu item -- OR, I can hit the "manual alarm", cancel, and then the resulting menu is the "portrait" menu. Fix how the menu items navigation, such that I do not need to do either of these, and I could give this app a much higher rating.

    The app works fine and the lock works great. But I feel like it’s an advertising nightmare. Why is it so large in taking more than a gigabyte on my phone? Unacceptable.

  • Works slowly and occasionally doesn’t update

    I use this mainly for my many cameras but also for wifi door locks. It can be slow to update and may not load recent notifications/clips. There should be scheduling and notification options for unlocked status of door locks. There should be widgets for iOS home screens to lock and unlock doors. It’s hard to believe with hundreds of millions of Apple mobile products out there that Eufy doesn’t include Apple HomeKit integrations on every product. 🤔

    If cameras aren’t missing 90% of recordable events, they’re simply going offline on a regular basis, even when fully charged with a rock-solid WiFi connection. Another vaporware scam disguised as a reputable company.

    The eufy security app is relatively good however usability is sometimes awkward as the ability to change settings varies from camera model to camera model. This makes it difficult for the user to find what they’re looking for to change the performance of their cameras because items aren’t where you expect them to be. In addition, any camera that is connected directly to power should be able to record 24 seven. It’s ridiculous that a camera that’s permanently plugged in to power (not solar) is limited to only recording small fragments. 24/7 recording infinitely better than fragment recording. This is merely a software limitation not a camera hardware issue.

    Used to be a good app. Won’t load live video, won’t snooze alerts (then when alerts aren’t snoozed, won’t un-snooze). Major lag. Hot garbage

    The quality of the software has gone down and has become riddled with ads and “new feature notifications” that cant be dismissed and arent new. The swipe to pan feature notifications for the eufy cam in particular is annoying. Its literally been a feature for over a year, yet every time i open the app, a gigantic non dismissable banner pops up in front of the controls to tell me about it for 30 seconds. Incredibly annoying. Combined with the stream of ads for new products in the app, and ive grown to loathe my eufy system. Such a shame because i truly loved it and recommended it to all of my friends up til their security incident. Since the hack, they seem to have given up on customer satisfaction all together.

    Eufy security cameras are for monitoring and security. I like new features just as much as anyone else, but constant ‘new feature’ pop ups for the same thing is enough. I want to see the camera to find out if something urgent happened. Not see your ads. We have 5 eufy cameras and have switched to a competitor for 12+ more. Please let me know when security is prioritized again.
