Before SimplyGuitar I could not even figure out how to do frets, this is a life changer. I finally feel like I’m going somewhere

I love the customer service the guy was really nice who I talked to and it is a great app I definitely recommend it if you have enough money to pay for the subscription
  • Not fun at all was tuning my guitar telling me it was too low and my string broke

    Not good
  • This app is great but…

    By CoolJoey17
I love this app and it is so entertaining but sometimes the app doesn’t hear you playing the right note, and it says that you got it wrong. Luckily, you can skip it and move onto the next level. I do recommend this app, it helps me play guitar in a fun and easy way!
  • Terrible

    By Rosie16 7243
I have my tuner on my guitar and it tells me I am doing perfectly but I cannot get past step one because the stupid app thinks I am playing the wrong chord but when I hum it is like woohoo great job
  • Why I don’t like this app

You can’t do any think without premium and I’m not gonna buy premium so that is why I don’t like this app

  • You all are dramatic, this app is awesome!

Before you read my review, note: This app does have a subscription after the first few lessons, (there is a 7 day free trial). If you cannot afford, or just don’t wanna buy, a subscription of $12.49 a month, then you might wanna look somewhere else. But this app is AMAZING! It gives you free lessons teaching you the e-minor chord, frets, tuning, and a simplified chorus of Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect”. I’ve only just passed the first few lessons but I did them so quickly. The humor in the videos is humorous, but they also keep them informative. I’ve read 100’s of reviews on this app out of boredom, and most of them consist about people complaining that the app isn’t free, and the notes not picking up well. And to that I have to say…. Of course hundreds of songs, guitar lessons, etc. are not gonna be free! The developers need to make bank somehow… if you want free just look on YouTube, I think their price is amazing for the quality of it all. And I haven’t had any trouble with my device (iPad) picking up notes… To be fair, I’ve been using my headset which has a mic attached, so that might help. (The app does say use headphones to make it easier for the app to register notes.) Overall, so far. I love this app, I’d totally recommend to any skill level but specifically beginners. At least if you have it in your budget. I will update this review if I have anything else as I experience the app more… Have a good day, stranger :D ~ 8Bit-Bunny
  • THE PAYWALL!!!!!

    By Gael01bun
I wanted to start playing a guitar once I saw the ad, thinking it would be great. I got through most of the course and then I got to the song. Which is blocked by a membership. Then I realized basically the WHOLE app is blocked by the paywall. THERE IS LITERALLY NO USE FOR THE APP WITHOUT PAYING! I LOST ALL MOTIVATION TO PLAYING THE GUITAR! THE ADS DECIVE ME INTO THINKING THIS WAS A GREAT WAY TO LEARN THE GUITAR! THE ADS DEPICT PEOPLE JUST USING IT FOR FREE AND STOPPED USING THE INTERNET TO LEARN, BUT I AM FORCED TO USE THE INTERNET TO LEARN BECAUSE OF YOU! DON’T YOU THINK THE PRICE OF THE GUITAR IS ENOUGH? For anyone reading this and wants to learn the guitar for free, looks like we have to look somewhere else without people just wanting to make a lot of money.
  • Don’t get.

    By poopy dookie
Please, don’t get this. “100% Free” is a SCAM. I tried to play “Stayin’ Alive” while starting it, but, what did I have to do for EVERYTHING? Buy a premium membership for 33 DOLLARS A MONTH. Why can’t you just make playing a song while starting it free? Because it’s a Cash-Grab. They have no intention to teach you, just the intention to get money.
