Description

There’s a lot you can do on GitHub that doesn’t require a complex development environment – like sharing feedback on a design discussion, or reviewing a few lines of code. GitHub for iOS lets you move work forward wherever you are. Stay in touch with your team, triage issues, and even merge, right from the app. We’re making these tasks easy for you to perform, no matter where you work, with a beautifully native experience. You can use GitHub for iOS to: • Browse your latest notifications • Read, react, and reply to Issues and Pull Requests • Review and merge Pull Requests • Organize Issues with labels, assignees, projects, and more • Browse your files and code • Discover new and trending repositories ——— Terms of Service: https://docs.github.com/en/github/site-policy/github-terms-of-service Privacy Policy: https://docs.github.com/en/github/site-policy/github-privacy-statement

I love being able to keep up with all my issues through my phone. The user interface is clean and it's easy to search for repositories. However, there is a feature I would like implemented. I would like the ability to view releases in the app. It's annoying when I go to a notification for a release and tap on it, only for it to send me to the website. And, if I click a link to the releases of a repository in my web browser, it opens the repository in the app but doesn't show me the releases. Overall, great app, and if that one feature was added my browser and app my device
  • Use the web app instead

GitHub’s mobile app lags far behind the web app in features, appearance, and usability on a handheld device. It does nothing to take advantage of running as a native app. Kudos to the web interface developers for doing a great job and making the mobile interface developers look bad. It might have been wise to name this app “GitHub Lite” to better set user expectations.

The app works great like it’s supposed to you just can’t add and edit repositories.
  • takes over all links

It steals priority for all links to github.com, so clicking a link always forces you into the app. There's no way to disable this behavior besides uninstalling the app.

I tried to login and all I got was a totally blank page I guess this is normal because I tried on my other mobile devices and they all do the same thing consistently well your website doesn’t do this but I don’t get any notifications from your website
