Basic arithmetic error—dealbreaker

It’s telling me I have an investment that’s worth 10x the cost basis. I must have hit the jackpot. Unless of course 89 * 122 =10,858, not 108k as the app computes it.
Avoid this app

I downloaded it 24 hours ago and have already restarted from scratch six times. Every time I link another online account, it freezes, forcing me to quit and lose everything. Thankfully, there’s a 30-day trial—I only needed one day to decide I’m cancelling and moving on to something else.
Almost a Decade Worth of Dependability

I have had Banktivity since it was iBank. From new features to responsive customer support with bugs and my own ignorance. The ability to integrate my diverse investments with my regular commercial banking, automatic downloads, and pay bills, has been fantastic. Has there been hiccups, yep. IGG Software has fixed those. I spend more on gas in a month than I do my annual Banktivity subscription. I know that because of Banktivity. It’s worth it.
Great tool to track all finances

This is fairly simple to use and learn. A couple of suggestions: 1) Add the ability to control the y-axis on graphs, so one can zoom to see trends. 2) Mutual fund prices don’t seem to update until the next day.
Finally pleased...

As a long-time user of iBank, even with much of its old functionality invalid (obsolete),I was initially put off by Banktivity and its interface. But eventually I discovered that Banktivity’s approach to many things made better sense. Now I absolutely love it. It’s flexible, and has a rich set of tools that make for a great accounting register. The connectivity to banks works very well and the instantaneous loading of pending transactions saves me the time I used to spend manually entering items. The app is fast, friendly, and powerful. I suppose the only thing I miss from iBank are vertical lines in the register views, but that’s a very minor nothing.
Better than Quicken & Copilot

So far, I’m really enjoying Banktivity—more than Quicken or Copilot. The new integration with Apple Wallet is a fantastic addition! One thing I do miss, though, is the ability to snap a photo of a receipt or attach a file (like a JPEG or PDF) to a transaction directly from the iPhone or iPad app. That was a feature I used all the time in Quicken. Still, overall, Banktivity has been a great tool for keeping track of my finances.
Don’t do it

They still haven’t got this software working correctly. I tried it years ago and it was a disaster. Today, My bank accounts are never correct and there are missing transactions. I tried Monarch Money along with this software and Monarch won!
Reports need improvement

By Love it! Couple of suggestions
As a lifelong Quicken user, I struggled when I purchased my first Mac years ago. After years of trying different solutions and always being frustrated, Banktivity saved me. I have loved it!
The only feedback is that the reports need to be improved. As someone who needs to prepare my own taxes, and keeps meticulous records, I would love to be able to better customize my reports, with different groupings and sorting by date, account, and tax category.
I also miss the legacy feature where you could revert an imported transaction if Banktivity matched it incorrectly. It used to be simple to revert it to the imported payee information. Now you have to manually change it if Banktivity incorrectly matches it to an existing transaction.
More than 2 years not working

While the MacOS application works as should be, the iOS App doesn’t work properly since 2022-23, I never have all accounts, balances or investments synchronized.
Every time I try to update data, the App only do for securities, which is also useless as not all investments are updated.
If I need to check anything I have to go to the computer.
Buggy and slow, it is the new quicken!

This has gone up $15 in 3 years. Features and amount of bugs are not worth it. This software has lost its value and worth to me. I am in process of moving on to another software. I started using this back with it was iBank an dit was fantastic as an alternative to the Mega app Quicken, they have essentially become quicken with all the nickel and diming plus they are right up there with the unstable and bugginess that was also quicken.
UPDATE: the app has now become almost unusable, opening the app takes 5-10 minutes to sync to cloud. Closing also takes 5-10 minutes. My balances are off all the time bc of glitches that dont recognize a transaction.
