iOverlander was one of the best apps ever created that I recommended to every person I knew. iOverlander 2 is useless and I will never recommend it again, nor use it myself. Very unfortunate what happened to this company.
  • Completely worthless unless you pay

I downloaded this app and used it last year on a trip when it was free, it was pretty useful back then. Now it is useless without a subscription. I would understand if the app had limited features free and extra features for premium. But it’s literally not even usable without paying.
  • Bring back the old ioverlander.

Really don’t like the new app. The original ioverlander was so quick and easy to use. Now you have to pay, download locations (which is super annoying for someone who lives on state lines) and so many ads.
  • Who designed this?

Did a developer designer this? It has horrible UX. Your filters are not user friendly. A quick google search or even ChatGPT will tell you how to design a filter UX that makes sense. Also, the app doesn’t even work. I zoom in to an area and nothing pops up. It’s truly useless
  • Open-source to expensive Paywall

Used to be a free app supported by community and tolerable ads to another subscription service. While it was free, it was helpful - simple and effective app. Hope someone comes along and makes another version of iOverlander.

IOverlander 2 is My go to app and website for every single overnight outdoor adventure! I wish I could give it a 6th star!
  • Doesn’t show available spots

No spots available after downloading app
  • Poor functionality

I downloaded maps and saved about a dozen campsites in the eastern sierras, only to open the app a week later while on my way to camp to see that all of my downloads and saved campsites were somehow erased from the app’s memory. Useless, poor design. What exactly am I paying for if the app doesn’t even function when I need it to?
  • Good app

Had problems at first, but developer walked me through. It’s good. A lot more features and filters. Bummed my entries from the old app didn’t carry over. But looking forward to exploring again. 4 stars. It wasn’t intuitive at first.
  • Some changes aren’t for the better. Sorry.

I truly enjoyed iOverlander, contributed funds to keep it going, and proudly have an iOverlander sticker on my truck. It was crowd-sourced and irreverent. Now, it’s corporate. Oh well.
