    If so, this app is for you! Literally downloaded the app a few days ago to try it out and made some handbag purchases. Advertised as an authentic Valentino Orlandi bag sold by Silhouette Paris. Complete scam. Made in China. These sellers sell thousands of these bags and this app somehow is considered legitimate? Don’t trust this app with your info!

    There are a couple specific sellers I would not buy from on this app due to stating they shipped the package and then did not because they weren’t happy with the price it sold at. A specific seller who has sold a lot on the app states that she dropped off the package and it’s been two weeks with no movement - I opened up a usps case and they stated the seller never dropped it off and when asking the seller did they drop it off with someone to scan or a drop box she stated a drop box well usps went to inform me that their surrounding usps locations do not have drop boxes at all that they need to be dropped off at the desk to be scanned - so the seller is lying and they didn’t drop it off because they weren’t happy withto the sale price. They are known to sell kid vintage character clothes. Instead of lying tell the truth on why you won’t ship your product instead of having someone being hopefully to get the items. Then when contacting whatnot they just said ok we will refund you that’s not the point hold the sellers liable for their actions.

    I signed up with a referral link and bought something, no money. I sold over $300 at my show and streamed over 3 hours, no $150 sellers match despite advertising it all the way through selling. App is fine, but they are so greedy.

    The app is super cool and very easy to use to find great sellers to get what you’re looking for. However, if things go south, customer support is little to nonexistent so buyers beware… aside from that happy hunting!

    I honestly really love this app BUT I HATE how you can upbid yourself. The amount of times that i’ve accidentally done this thinking because I can bid again someone probably out bidded me but no. You have to be very careful especially if you’re new to the app. Whatnot should have it so that if you’re the highest bidder you CANNOT bid against yourself. ugh.

    I’ve been burned 3X using Whatnot and I’m officially done. I purchased a “refurbished” laptop that wouldn’t charge, an iPad so old it can’t even log into iCloud, and most recently, a vacuum listed as new that arrived used, filthy, missing parts, and reeking of pet hair and mold. It was so disgusting I almost threw up. Whatnot claims to offer buyer protection, but I’ve been waiting over two months for one refund and three weeks for another—with no resolution. Their customer service is slow, unhelpful, and clearly overwhelmed by how many issues buyers face. The final straw was the nasty vacuum I received today. I’m done risking my money on mislabeled junk while sellers get away with deception. There is zero quality control on this platform, and they do little to stop dishonest listings. This app needs to do better or be shut down. Until Whatnot gets serious about seller accountability and buyer protection, avoid it like the plague. Whatnot I’m giving you 7 business days to refund my money or I’ll pursue you in small claims.
