False rating, every other plat form has this game rated significantly lower. Trash

Fix your mastery tree so that the people who pay for the pass can actually purchase the mastery tree using their points. Right now on the iPad you cannot redeem any of the orbs that you earn. That should be illegal because they are charging $20 to even have access to these yet you cannot spend things that you paid to earn. Criminal…

Haven’t played this since I was a kid. This game is just rolling dice. Strategy is irrelevant because the game is not well conceived.
  • Game is rigged

No matter how well you build your decks the game will dictate which player wins by what they draw and you draw. It’s never fair no matter what side you are on so don’t waist your time go play with real cards with friends or at your local shop
  • Rigged.

So let me start off by saying this. Ive been playing magic for about 6 years now. I’ve played many, many matches, and I play physical MTG as well. While my decks aren’t meta, they are still a far cry better than prebuilt now. The problem comes to the fact that 1) there is no casual skillbased matchmaking, 2) it’s impossible to win casual without a meta deck and you can’t get coins fast enough to make said meta deck before it changes. 3) you are almost always pitted against a perfect counter to your deck. Example! I was running a monoblack, then white/black decks. Okay I lose. Fair is fair right? A red deck and a blue green gets me. 7 matches still not a single victory. Change to a blue flying deck and I just so happen to go against a green reach deck. Odd, never came across those earlier. Like, ever. And now, 3 matches with the flying, that is all I am versing. Finally swap to a monowhite healing. Guess what? I end up against a monowhite healing that happens to profit over MY creatures entering the battlefield. Every single time I throw a deck against it, I just end up facing the perfect counter. Thought I was just unlucky. Next match? My opponent doesn’t do anything. Like. At all. Loses via inactivity. My only win so far. Then it went right back to losing over and over. It got to the point where I know I am only ever going to verse bots, even in “non-bot play” modes such as historic or even standard. I really enjoy MTG, but this? This is just a game that forces you to watch anything you’ve done get meticulously picked apart with inhuman accuracy. Only thing you can do is concede or play out the loss. I’ve gotten well over 400 matches played, and the only ones I ever won were inactivity, bot mode, which is ridiculously easy, and custom matches. With over even 30 matches you’d think you’d come across a person who uses the inbuilt ‘good game’ or ‘Nice!’ Even if they just are spamming it to be toxic, but no. Not a single one that wasn’t a custom game. It is just all bots, all counters, no fun. Don’t play this game. TL:DR. Game puts you against perfect counter bots 98% of the time. Go to MTG online.

So tired of win or lose being determined by one player getting too much or too little land for decks to operate properly It’s ridiculous You shouldn’t be able to mulligan 4x in a row with zero lands popping up. The odds of that are horrendous So what are the odds of it being a common occurrence? I’ll be the first to admit im addicted to this game so odds are I won’t be deleting any time soon but I won’t be giving your app any more money and the one star review will stand until you have figured things out No one wants to spend 5-10k gold just to have mana problems every hand with 5 matches to play to win. And an equally small number of people find it fun to play against someone who can’t play any cards.

The app itself is pretty good. Great for new and experienced players with a decent selection of MTG sets/formats to choose from. Pros: -App is free to play -Helps new players learn and understand how abilities/cards work -Good selection of MTG cards Cons: -App can be buggy at times and tends to freeze up when dealing with several triggers. -The “rope” or timer used when a player is taking too long doesn’t always factor in the amount of triggers active. (Its possible to lose or cut your turn short because the app thinks you’re stalling while automated triggers are happening) Doesn’t have all cards from MTG in the app. (This isn’t a major issue but if you’re use to playing in person some cards won’t be available on the app)

The online community is doggie doo doo. They all play with the same decks so variety just doesn’t exist which is a shame, considering that’s basically the whole point of a collectible card game. The pay walls here are egregious. Want to play with the new cards? Better shill for those. Want to play against people with those cards? Better shill. Want to play a different mode besides the 2 or 3 free modes? Better shill. At every point they are begging you to spend money. There’s no magic here
