    While the content of the books is excellent, the Beyond approach is a ripoff. I paid money for Digital copies NOT online only access that requires the internet an going through an ad-driven app. But the physical books but don’t waste your timeand money on this online thievery.

    This is very useful for a player with spells like the wizard,sorcerer,etc But also a good character creator to print out but for DMS It can be a little difficult to make homebrew encounters

    It’s pretty apparent that this app follows a profit first approach to its design. You can’t create homebrew items nor sort characters in a campaign with many character sheets, but they make it impossible to miss all the ways they’d like you to spend your money on them. The character sheet itself is designed pretty intuitively, which is great for players, but this app is not very well designed for DMs quite frankly.

    They want you to repurchase content that you already purchased with the hardbacks. They site it’s due to different platform and format but that’s a simple cop out. Switching to a different game platform now so they will lose all my future money as well. Good job Hasbro. Tanking another well loved brand.

    Having all of your books and characters in one place is so convenient, there’s no other reason than to choose Beyond. Rolling dice is fun even though I prefer using real ones but it’s there if you wanna use it. It works perfectly when you’re using the VTT on Beyond. What keeps it from a 5/5 is that there is no VTT on the app natively. Even the Encounters feature from the website would be awesome.

    My profile has been unable to access Master their content (it shows that I still have hero subscription), as well as my DM has shared his digital works to us but I am unable to obtain any of the additional class options from the additional content. I have sent two emails one of which I will share full disclosure was during a holiday, the other days before. I havn’t heard a peep from WOC. PS I have been previously been able to access digital content from dm before.
