The promise of lessons with a qualified instructor is a lie. Your only interactions in the app are with a rather crude AI. There are no instructions on HOW to pronounce difficult sounds. There is nothing on speech rhythm, or any practice on full sentences . You are just repeating words after AI like a deranged parrot.
Another red flag is their predatory billing practices - the app promises to send you a notice when your free trial period is ending, but the only notice I got was AFTER they bilked me fir a full year. There is no contact info or customer service, do I had to file a dispute with my credit card.

BoldVoice is one of the few apps that I’m willing to pay for. It helped identify the area for improvement (I’ve moved to the US for many years!) and provided detailed instructions on how to make it right.
