  • App Crashed and lost very first project

    By Person No. 1023
I was working on my first big project that could’ve gotten me some nice opportunities, so I chose this app because I thought apple was reliable. But the app crashed halfway through and destroyed my timeline. This is not a safe app to use, and there is like ZERO support online currently on fixing the app.
  • FCP iPad on a subscription model Apple? Really?

    By Ericlmercer
Apple just cheapified its stature by charging a yearly subscription for an app that would have better drawn users into the iPad ecosystem & who would have upgraded hardware to fully utilize software such as FCP for iPad. Instead, a lot of us faithful FCP Mac users feel slighted. Plus, it’s still half-baked for the iPad anyway. Bad PR move Apple. Disappointed. I like Apple a little less now. Highly don’t recommend FCP for iPad. 👎
  • Meh

Wasn’t as usable as I had hoped… Can’t migrate back and forth to desktop and iPad.
  • Great tool, just one thing

    By Girfoon
Pretty great editing tool, just one feature I’d like to be added, something similar to the animate tool for sounds and speed would be nice and give more editing possibilities. Otherwise, it’s pretty great.

Can you make it support auto scrolling for timeline just like on the Mac version and there is some utter features missing that iPad doesn’t have
  • Crashes sometimes

    By JBisTOaO
Sometimes when I am precision dragging something the app will just randomly crash. I’m not sure if it happens to anyone else, but it is annoying when you almost have the perfect spot to place something, then all of a sudden the app just crashes out… Other than that, I have been enjoying using this app, and I am grateful that they decided to bring it to the IPad.
  • Constant Crashes

Common times to crash When importing larger quantities of videos (more than 30). When exporting videos longer than 30 minutes. I had high hopes for this app, but unfortunately it just doesn’t work well.
  • Super pleased for the ipad version BUT…

    By jman98
The one very important thing this app needs, object/subject tracking. I work with people that from time to time, sometimes more often than not, would like their identity kept anonymous. It would be wonderful if the app was capable of object/subject and face tracking for when I’d like to apply certain effects for protecting my collaborators identity or just in general in situations where I may be filming content in a public environment and need to blur out faces or brands. This app is fantastic otherwise and I eagerly await future updates to see what else they can make my M2 iPad Pro capable of. Thanks so much to the dev team behind making this desktop professional editing tool available on iPad Pro! I recommend giving it a go especially if you don’t need tools like what I mentioned, as badly as I do, since it has plenty else to offer. FCP just doesn’t compare to the mac version. I already got access to the $400 app on mac previously when I still owned a mac, and while this version is very capable, it still leaves me disappointed because features like the one mentioned above in particular, among many others, are not yet available and it’s sad considering I’d have to pay a subscription for this version of the app to be as useful as the version I already have access to, or rather did, on a mac. I don’t want FCP X on mac to be the only reason why I need to dole out another several thousand dollars for my video editing needs if the M2 iPad Pro is supposed to be just as capable of these professional desktop editing tools. I’d say consider the ongoing price tag with this app, I’m really not a fan of these new subscription business models for apps especially when they don’t offer one-time purchase options at all anymore. You pay a hefty price for a full suite app, hoping to get at least a similar experience on the more mobile portable version, but instead you’re given something that is a bit lackluster with an additional price tag after $400 you pay for the desktop version, it just screams greed at the cost of customer satisfaction and usability/usefulness.
  • Subscription?

    By nightdancer342
I already own this software on Mac and I can’t use my license? I am really tired of these subscriptions while they try to market it that you’re getting ongoing support and always the latest features. Why not allow people to buy the software and then come out with a new iteration later with all the new features and people can decide if they want to upgrade?
  • Why not add a play button at the scroll wheel? Scroll and play at the same time!!!
