I was so excited for this app, but I don’t like that. It’s a subscription based app and it doesn’t integrate with the projects I’m working on Final Cut Pro on my MacBook. I can’t continue a project from there and I can’t merge project files. Also the keyboard shortcuts are not the same on an iPad keyboard as they are on a MacBook keyboard and that is really frustrating. I don’t like that you have to click on a piece of content to be able to interact with it. Where is on a MacBook you can just cut a piece of your video without actually clicking on the content piece. I think that if you have Final Cut Pro Mac, you should be opted in for Final Cut Pro iPad and I think it’s annoying and frustrating that I have to pay a separate subscription for it.
  • App continually crashes not worth the money☹️

I purchased a brand new IPad and Final Cut Pro App for iPad solely for the purpose of editing. It was sad to see that apple has again deceived me and many others. The app has never worked properly since downloaded. I’ve done everything possible to fix even deleting everything off my iPad, and it still crashes. If I could give it 0 stars I would.
  • Subscription based is a no go!

Let me buy as a one time purchase
  • Why monthly subscription?

We hate monthly payments, this should be free or just one payment.
  • Get rid of subscription model

I love my iPad and bought the M4 model so I can use Final Cut Pro. Unfortunately Apple is catching Adobe’s disease by going to a subscription model. I will not touch the FCP for iPad as long as it’s Subscription and continue to use LumaFusion which is a one time purchase and very capable product and DaVinci Resolve which has a capable free version and a one time paid studio version. I hope Apple listens to its faithful users and moves away from subscription model or FCP for iPad is doomed

This app hasn’t been the same since the upgrade, I can’t even edit 1080 footage on an app that’s made to handle 4k footage. It keeps freezing, not importing my footage correctly, literally my footage comes out with a black screen. And then when you call them to fix the problem they ask you what type of footage are you using .. I tell them and magically that problem .they say it’s not an app problem it’s the content… and that’s totally wrong because I still have Final Cut v1. On my other iPad and it works great.. screw this app don’t buy till they update the fixes

The desktop version is confusing enough, but the iPad version is ruhtarded. So frustrating to use. And then you pay an annual fee? F that noise.
  • Massive Bug Not Allowing Multicam connection

Do not rely on this application and Final Cut camera because the ability to connect devices is completely sporadic, and after using the app perfectly it no longer works at all with connection and multicam functionality. Planning to run a podcast with this new functionality and now will no longer be able to.

  • Live Multicam Bug?

I really love the features, but so far, I cannot connect a camera that isn’t already tied to my iCloud account. So, lets say I’m recording a project with multiple colleagues, and we all have up to date iPhones….it isn’t even showing their phones, despite going through every single trouble shooting step. So, live multicam…if you personally own multiple apple devices but not if you have borrowed devices…? That should be mentioned. We need to discuss the continued use of the word “pro” by apple. It’s clearly a marketing choice, and less of a useful designation.
