I remember having the option to control iTunes on my windows machine but with iTunes no longer being used for Apple Music I can’t find any actual use for this app or anyway to control my music. I’m quickly becoming an apple user who is wanting to jump ship from all the missing features I used to enjoy having with iTunes 😡😡😡

This application is a hidden gem that really needs to come out of hiding. Apple Watch support should have been available from the debut of their first watch iteration.

Seriously, this app hasn’t been updated in 4 years and it really shows. Almost useless with AppleTV devices. Have it on iPhone and iPad and swipe up down left right rarely works. Since the handheld remote Apple supplies needs to have direct line of site to AppleTV really do need a good remote app. Look at Amazon firetv. Now there’s a 5 star app and a handheld device.

It was a fantastic app in its day when iTunes was king. Now there’s iTunes and Music. Music app has some technical updates iTunes doesn’t seem to have (at least in the remote app). ALL of my HomePod minis and ALL stereo HomePods are not recognized by this app. I play 95% of content from my Mac. When on the Mac, these systems are recognized and work as expected. Just through the app, it is not seeing these newer devices and their newer options. Please update the app to recognize HomePod minis and stereo HomePods.
  • Literally doesn’t work

Windows users don’t bother downloading this app. Apple Music needs a dedicated remote app.

I’ve been using this app for what, 9 years now? It’s had its hits and misses but this app is one of the first things I got for my Apple culture at home and have used it religiously since. It’s one of those “gee-whiz” apps from back in the day. It’s still my trusty jukebox. Viva La Remote!! Update: still using this app. For those of us with a large media library and AirTunes with multiple speakers (12 for me), this app is wonderful. Please keep it around Apple!

I’ve been using this app since I first bought an iPhone 4s in 2011. Unfortynately, the greedy executives currently running Apple won't allow old devices to download old versions of this app. Why not? Pure greed. Apple executives want everyone to throw away their perfectly good old devices, ruining the environment, and stuffing Apple coffers fuller than ever. Welcome to 21st-century Apple, where greed is king, and customers are mere peons.
