    I have used lose it for many years on and off. It’s reliable and mostly easy to navigate. Unfortunately it seems they recently decided to remove even more of the previously free features and now scanning QR codes to add food is locked behind a subscription, making me annoyed enough to decide I’m not going to give them anything from now on. Anybody got any recommendations for a reasonable substitute app?

    Terrible app. All of a sudden they don’t allow you to use the barcode scanner unless you purchase the premium version. There’s also no monthly option. Only the annual $30 option. Very stupid . Deleted the app . I used to prefer this over my fitness pal but not any longer

    The Lose It app is the only thing that helps me lose or maintain if I log regularly. It works simply and is helpful. It is easy to log and keep myself on track. It also helps me make good decisions for food AND exercise.

    I’ve loved using LoseIt! and one of the best features was being able to scan food barcodes for free. Every other app locked it behind a paywall and was incredibly inconvenient. I just came back to this app after a few months away and now the same barcode scanning feature is behind their own paywall. This feature was the reason I used LoseIt! for so long but now I don’t see much benefit over LoseIt! to any other calorie tracking app.

    I’m a long-time (now former) WW app user, but I quit it bc I love this app. Love the dashboard, the number of items in the food items library, ability to budget extra calories on weekends, etc! Only thing I wish it had was the ability to customize calorie budget by day (not just the average). I usually do 1-2 days a week with 500 calories — almost always Monday and then often one other day. Please make this edit! :) So much good in this app.

    I’ve been off and on with LoseIt! For about 10 years now, and have recently started becoming more consistent. This app has helped make me far more self-aware about what and how much I’m eating. I may not measure everything perfectly, but even having a general ballpark of a range is better than nothing, and this app has never let me down. It’s auto-tracking between other apps and auto calorie adjustments have been a Godsend when it comes to managing my health. I could go on and on about how much I love this app, but in a nutshell: It’s simple, user friendly, and encouraging. What more could you want from a food tracker? LoseIt goes above and beyond!
