Have to redo over half of it too expensive for what you get!

Had this app for a long time and it was functional. Not used frequently but was reliable. Went to use recently and you want how much for features I never asked for? App deleted.

When I joined this app it was FREE and I scanned my business cards. I can no longer access my cards. How can I now access my scanned cards without having to pay a fee.

Bought this years ago and was impressed at how well it worked. Fairly clean and simple and intuitive. Barely had to edit. But over the past few years the “en$hi%%ification” process has gradually engulfed the app. It’s full of pop-ups, false starts, some sort of limitations on cards I can scan, and when it does scan it’s ridiculously bad now- I mean “MARIA” in huge clear typeface is seen as “MARUi” …. Literally! And then it doesn’t just give you the card for perhaps ten minutes, it delays and delays being able to edit and put into contacts because NOW it claims to be using “AI” which they claim removes the need to edit, haha. So much gone wrong with this app, even though I own it the bar is so low and this app has become so bad that I’m going to look around for another app that does basic capture and OCR without all the ridiculous game layers that have completely ruined CamCard from having any value at all. Can’t believe any developer would want to do so much work to ruin a decent functioning app- but here we are. Super disappointed.

I used to love this app. I’m not a heavy user, but for my purposes it was perfect. Now it is all Ai and expensive. If you switch off Ai then the results are laughable. It was never this bad. I truly believe they have made the free option so bad you are forced to subscribe. Not me, I’m off.

Especially with stylized fonts, but even with easily read fonts, the app won’t get it right. Make sure you read the info before you save it. I don’t know if it’s actually worth having as I right this review…

I like the simplicity of this app as it is exactly what I’ve been looking for a period I’ve used it at two companies now. The AI scanning is frustrating. It makes a lot of mistakes when filling out information so I have to go back and manually edit. I wish I could turn the AI feature off or not use it when uploading a card.

Sure, without ai feature the recognition is bad, but with it, it’s the best there is. The ui and general navigation is a bit outdated(by about a decade, I used to use camscanner A LOT), but the functionality is impeccable. The fact that it supports caller identification(tho I’ve never got to have it utilised just yet) and backside scan are the killer features. The scanned card results are generally of very good quality and detailed too
