I’ve been using Venmo for several years now without a problem with my identity all of a sudden they want me to verify my identity, but don’t give me an option to verify my identity so they froze my account so now I have no access to my Venmo account because they will not let me verify my identity. What a pathetic joke of an abscess is get it together, please

Venmo will scam you. Do not use it. Any mistakes, they don’t actually offer customer service or help.

I’ve been using Venmo for a long time to send payments for various needs. Between my wife and I, we have many bank accounts that hold different types of money. Whether for personal, savings, leisure, joint, business etc. we could choose which accounts to use. Now, they have made it to where only the last 2 digits of our accounts are shown rather than the last 4. Our last 2 digits of all our accounts are the same so this makes it impossible to decipher between these accounts. I understand it’s likely for security, but we can no longer know which account the money is coming from which renders the app useless in our case.

Can’t pay from my bank account which I’ve used many times before… call my bank, wait on hold, they check everything and say it’s fine. Back to Venmo app, try again, nothing. Delete the bank account from Venmo, errors saying it’s still assigned as a backup payment. (It’s not, the app already reassigned all of them), so I delete all connected businesses. Delete account successfully, try to add it to Venmo as a debit card. Venmo errors again, saying “You’ve tried adding too many cards at this time”. How many cards can I add? How long do I have to wait to try adding again? Why did my linked account just stop working? Venmo doesn’t have any of those answers.

Used to be great; super easy and not too error prone. Now when you transfer money, the target bank is in *TINY* type, and is set to the place you transferred to last. So if you often use it for different institutions, it’s incredibly easy to do it wrong. And there’s NO way to change a transfer once it’s started. A GARBAGE product now.

Constant error lately. Bank transfers not working and they don’t tell you why because it’s automated system. Oh wow but an automated system is controlled and programmed by human beings. There a message in help topics that says bank transfers could decline even you have successfully had bank transfers with the same bank. It’s nonsense. They need to definitely fix especially being online banking.
