Doesn’t scroll to the touch properly anymore.
  • Clunky and annoying

The latest update (July 2022) performs worse than before. When I rotate my iPad screen, the app now moves me to another page of the newspaper, far away from the one I was reading. This happens multiple times per day. I have to go through several steps to find my old place in the article I was reading.
  • Terrible update

The recent update makes the iPad experience really bad. So bad I’m not sure I can stay a subscriber.
  • July 21, 2022 update a farce

Unable to view full screen on iPad without having to pinch out and then you can’t move from page to page without reducing again! On the browser mode in Safari, the page turning ends by the time you get to Sports section. The only solution is to completely quit the app and reload and find you page again. With updates like these I wonder why I still subscribe to the eEdition only. Especially for the price!!
  • EEdition

Since update of 7/22, eEdition will not fill screen and floating ad bar at bottom of each page prevents reading of page. On 6th gen iPad running iOS 15.5
  • Subscribers hit with online ads

Version 9.1.6 July 2022. We already PAY for this paper, why are we seeing ads? iPad on-screen zoom in/out is less responsive than earlier version. Forced log-in with this version was clumsy.
  • Ads block reading view

So I pay for this app to read the paper and there’s a small but annoying ad box that won’t go away and it obstructs the reading view. This digital copy of the paper is the same as a print subscription; yet I deal with digital ads. I’m not renewing on my next cycle.
  • Terrible app with mediocre content

The app is extremely slow with limited features. No search function, and the only way to log out of your account is to delete the app. To make matters worse, the Sacramento Bee is more of a newsletter than a newspaper at this point. The articles are littered with typos, and the reporting can be very sloppy. Unfortunately, the Sacramento Bee is the only show in town when it comes to local news. Very sad.
  • Piece of garbage

Cannot view content on Home Screen; it is blank and will not update. Help screens in app describe something other than what is actually in the app. Three inquiries have gone unanswered. Customer service is non-existent. Resigned to reading WAPO & SF Chronicle, whose apps work flawlessly.
  • iPhone issues

I use an iPhone XS with the most up to date version of iOS. News feed never works. I have deleted the app, rebooted the phone and reinstalled the app, cleared the cache etc. works fine on my iPad. The help screens talk about settings going to “my account”. There is no “my account” button/tab/option. There does not seem to be a way to log in or Out.
