  • Don’t update

I used to love this app and used it all the time. It was fun reading and I didn't mind the occasional ads. They turned off the ability to read comments forcing people to upgrade to this horrible new version. Now everything is scattered, more than half the articles are just teasers and ask you to pay to view them. Betweeen ads, paid articles, sponsored articles, there is barely anything left to read anymore. It's just not a pleasant experience anymore and time to switch. What a disappointment.
  • Pay for Propaganda?

There was a period of time where DM was one of the few places reporting any real news, breaking stories other publications wouldn’t touch. That time is gone, and what remains is the most prohibitive and predatory subscription model I’ve seen employed by a news site. I can hardly be bothered to even skim the headlines anymore. If you want to read an article, high chance it’s paywalled ontop of being utter nonsense. The rest is the same headline and photo repeated daily to try to shape opinions. Another publication down the toilet.

I have used this app for many years and now I am deleting it. Finding out I have to pay to read most articles was disappointing. Time to find a new app.

I used to love this app. No longer. The multiple pay walls are ridiculous.

I think when they added plus. It ruined the whole experience. DM used to be my fun way to get the news and gossip at the same place, but now it’s just plain horrible!
  • Lost its focus

Used to be a great news site but now its focus is just clickbait and paparazzi. To make it worse they there is very little content available without paying for it.
  • Hate the Changes

This was my number one source for news until they recently changed it. Most stories are exclusive to subscribers, so I deleted the app. Go back to the way it was!!!!
  • Keeps getting worse..

Update update: now, unless you pay or agree to ALL cookies! Adds are not enough.. After many years, too much. I just erased it. Am done. Good luck with your new approaches. Update: New app has improved from some bugs, like not showing comments. But now half the articals are teasers, requiring subscription. Adds not enough? Separate Mail+ section not enough Was: Ya. Change is change. But new app is buggy and awkward. iPhone, unable to even see comments. And the new “jump ahead” scrolling feature vs smooth scrolling is just distorting… Bad show out the gate with the new look.

I like their quick reporting on stories. Too many nonsense articles and I don’t like the new format.
