  • Turned the page back.

I made transition to e-version in 2018. This current app turns the page back . Agree with other reviews that the e version replica much harder to read. I read the e-edition and abandoned trying to read the web version. Android seems to run better than my iPad. Both take 15 seconds to load some days. On content , the Top Stories often stale with 2 or 3 day old articles. My major peeve is the weather is up to two weeks old. Yes, 2 week old weather! Less would be more when it comes to Top Stories. Also, stay away from back button in your browser while reading articles in replica. That closes the web page for entire replica. I learned to only use the X in upper right corner on the article page view you are reading.

I want to see the whole paper, not 6/135 pages!
  • Logs you out repeatedly

I don’t normally leave reviews but this app is fairly lousy. I’ve used it for a couple years and despite a significant revamp a year or so ago it still routinely logs you out and forces you through a bunch of hurdles to log back in. The content is useful as the main local print news source (that isn’t very skewed left/right) in the Triangle which is the only reason this isn’t 1 star.
  • App is terrible

This app is barely functional. I am unable to read an entire article without it flipping back to the beginning screen, even if the article is book marked. Given the subscription is higher than the Wall Street Journal (for a print edition) and the New York Times, you might expect it to be perfect.
  • From great to awful

The initial rollout of this app was phenomenal, but it has gotten progressively worse with each update. The eEdition is absolutely atrocious and it is a pain to use. For me to use this app again, it will have to get better starting with an eEdition that’s not a rectangle in the middle of the darn page…

notifications I get never take me to the article in the notification. It always takes me to the Top Stories page where I have to search to get the article i want to read. I hate this app. Considering canceling my subscription.

I paid for a new annual online subscription this week with my debit card on my computer. My name is Karine Sparrow Caglayan, and my address is 1204 N. Queen Street, Kinston NC, 28501, also residing in Salter Path NC. What do I have to do to access the newspaper both on my computer and on my iPhone? My phone number is 252 268-2980. Please respond, as my bank has been charged, but reading the newspaper is unavailable to me. Thank you, Karine Caglayan
  • Terrible app - how does it have a 4 rating?

Been using this app for two years and I thought the n&o’s content had suffered. Low and behold it’s because this stupid app doesn’t show but a tenth of what’s in the paper if you rely on the default view. Skip this terrible app and view in a browser.

My delivery person is outstanding…… my paper is even double wrapped to keep it dry if rain is expected.I am delighted that the online version is available being routinely upgraded band able to bring news to me more immediately but nothing can beat holding and reading the N&O in your hands! It has been impossible to access the eEditon since The 9.6.1 update released July 27. I am a true believer in supporting local journalism, but my god fix your DevOps. It is going on three weeks now that I have been unable to access any subscriber content. Another interesting thing I have learned is that the monthly subscription rate I am paying is literally twice as much as the current advertised rate.
