To call Pages better than Word is an understatement, but it feels overdue for a fresh coat of paint. It’d be nice to see practical Apple Intelligence functions (would be nice to just tell Siri “Reduce the font size of this paragraph”) and I’ve been waiting for the return of the toolbar since iWork ‘09.

Would love it if it printed as it appears on my screen - when sharing documents, must convert to Microsoft WORD.

After decades as a Microsoft Word user, I got curious as to whether or not Pages would open a Word document. It can! I opened a complexly formatted Word document in Pages and didn’t lose a single element of formatting. Best of all, the user interface is WAY more intuitive than Word, and offers every feature I could ever want! And like Word, Pages has a large library of pre-formatted page designs! Gonna try opening an Excel spreadsheet in Numbers. Hopefully, I can drop my expensive Microsoft Office subscription. Word users, don’t ignore Pages!

Why do u do this to your loyal users. Use word. Stop using pages or get pages to function like word. This is wrong of u, stop it. Pages is too hard, beautiful but difficult. GIVE UP, get with what is happening.

WORD has something like a mini screen; if you highlight text and hover over it,, a transparent, thumbnail size screen pops up.. In that screen you can adjust the highlighted area,, in a variety of way.. So much esier then going to the top of the page to highlight, change font,, change size, change color.. That feature isn't available in WORD for MAC.. I miss it... In Pages,, you have to go to the right to do a lot of those things.. So much easier with a "mini Viewer?" And,, when you use it,, you dont have to be in full screen..
