  • The best podcast app!

Let’s be real here if you’re a podcast junkie you’ve tried all the podcasts app right. Pocket Casts is the best one! The UI is clean and distraction free. They’ve added all kinds of great features and best of all continue to develop the app. So if you’re really into podcasts just get Pocket Casts. You’ll be happy that you did.
  • poor header redesign

the recent header redesign takes up way more space than it needs (tons of dead space on the left and right), the podcast artwork is now smaller unless you click on it, and is generally less intuitive. also now, i have to scroll to actually get to the podcast episodes instead of having them available below the smaller old header. please consider adding an option to toggle header style preference.
  • Doesn’t download queued podcasts

When I’m on cell service and I queue podcasts and click the download button — so I can have them handy and ready in an offline situation like on the subway or an airplane — they just stay queued. They never download. Didn’t used to be that way.
  • Not great

The search function is useless. I searched for a podcast but forget the “the” in the name and it couldn’t even begin to find it. You have to subscribe to podcasts to display them in your podcast tab (sometimes i just want to remember a show but only listen to a few eps now and then, don’t want to subscribe). Crashes and stops playing in the middle of *downloaded* eps. Can’t swipe to download. On and on and on

  • Cannot migrate from Overcast

Importing OPML file immediately fails when importing from Files as well as Overcast itself.

I have been a PocketCasts user for many years. I love the UI and all of the stats the app tracks. The only request I have is offline apple watch support.
  • Sync old podcasts

It keeps recalling 60+ old podcasts to my playlist every few weeks. Very annoying.
  • Chromecast Broken

Has been broken for almost a year. Lots of feedback online from many users but no fix.
  • Good player but please stop messing with my backlog

Yesterday I suddenly get prompted to login and next thing I know my backlog of episodes is completely trashed. Showing episodes I’ve already listened to and removing the episodes I wanted to listen to. Why do you do this kind of hostile UX?? This isn’t the first time it’s happened. I’ve literally never asked you to manage the backlog anywhere but my phone. I don’t want it on the web player, I don’t want it on any other phone. Just leave it alone!
