  • Ashamed this is my local newspaper

    By RumeshaA
It’s been tragic to witness the lack of journalistic values demonstrated by the Chronicle team. The paper now relies on position pieces and op-Ed hit jobs as clickbait - very little actual investigative journalism or balanced presentation of local affairs.
  • Absolute Trainwreck

    By PPVoScott
Besides the Chronicle’s non-existing editing of the writing, grammar and spelling. This App is the worst. Do many glitches that remain for years. - Like articles constantly refreshing while you’re reading and automatically scrolling back to the top. Now, despite being a paid subscriber for years it tells me I don’t have a paid subscription and that I only have two articles left to view. I’ve emailed their support on a number of occasions with no response. Ugh
  • Clunky app

    By Linz Mc
Not thrilled about having to sign in every time I open the SF Chron app, or re-link my subscription and / or be told I’ve maxed the number of articles I’m entitled to. I pay for an all access subscription so what’s up with that? A call to the AOS app customer service was not helpful nor illuminating. Very frustrating and dysfunctional to have to log in each time I want to read an article.
  • App not intuitive

    By exuntay
Had a VERY hard time trying to find today’s print edition on your app. Note: I am a print subscriber.
  • Chronicle is disappearing before our eyes

    By emeriti
Coverage of sports on weekend? Gone from e-edition Late afternoon or evening sports results: gone Ability to see box scores on the online edition? Gone For sports fans, the quality of the S.F. Chronicle is greatly reduced. Time to cancel and get sports news from sources that are prompt and thorough.
  • Frustrating and annoying

    By Jvrsf
I have a paid subscription but trying to access it online is horrible. I have the app but it makes me sign in for every article I read. Stupid! Why can’t it remember me I am signed in?
  • Please support linking from social

    By schlebschleb
It’s so frustrating to click on a chronicle link on social media and be directed to the web where I’m asked to log in, rather than the app where I’m already logged in. Please fix this!
  • Bad

    By mr ipad mini 5
The negative reviews are true… Beware. I thought the chronicle would have a decent app to mirror their excellent newspaper- sadly I was mistaken.
  • Content is fine but app is not great

    By Joe in SF
The SF Chronicles content is fine, but this app is definitely not high quality. There are some weird features like an article refreshing if you move away from the screen - meaning if you get a text or phone call mid article you lose your place. Sometimes it also just opens a random article when you open the app. Not nearly as good as the NYT, WSJ, LA Times apps.
  • Worst app for news

    By Nvjx
I read NYTIMES, Marin IJ, AP and Chronicle on line and this is the worst. The others are easy to navigate and IJ is the best for off line reading.
