The app crashes when tapping on people’s names that have signed up for a group activity. Terrible.

Tried to get them to cancel my account. Didn’t respond back to my email for 2 weeks. Wouldn’t recommend.
  • Useless with Subscription

I decided to redownload the app after years of not using it. The app is literally not functional if you don’t pay for the premium subscription. I get promoted to start free trial with every option I select. Never seen an app that popular with such aggressive paywalls. Ridiculous!
  • Not for me, garmin connection didn’t work

I don’t really like the app or the culture around it (too much gamification, half the content online I see is people trying to knock other people down in rankings). But the nail in the coffin for me is that people online say that if you connect garmin it will import your last year of data. It didn’t do this, it didn’t import any historical data. So I don’t have much use for it.

Strava has been great for analyzing my exercise through the years. I have used it since 2012. I use it to church my biking walking workouts and elliptical. I also use it to chart how far I walk when I’m doing yardwork. It’s been a great Motivation that helps keep me on track with my exercise

    Solid app
  • Dropped rides during the ride

Twice over the past four days of a bike packing trip, I have finished my ride only to find that the Strava app (using my phone) inexplicably stopped “paused” my ride halfway through. As a result, my ride data was incomplete. Luckily I was riding with someone else who was able to “invite” me to join his ride record, but it’s really annoying. I had not messed with the phone at all, other than taking a few pictures during the ride. No reason why it should have paused. Perhaps your AI could be trained to help reconstruct such mishaps. Would be more useful than the AI coach.

…it’s on Strava. This app is everything.
  • Meh

Used to pay for premium until there were a bunch of UI updates that made the app buggy. The videos never play smoothly. Uploading fails half the time. The free version looks to beg you to subscribe at every possible opportunity/page. The watch app doesn’t track GPS for swims. It’s just OK.
  • Never subscribe!

Absolute nightmare to deal with, they purposely hide cancel subscription options and do not grant refunds without hassle after hassle.
