  • Trouble with this app

    I am having trouble trying to load the Bible, takes an extreme long time to load and it keeps starting at Genesis and the small print when it’s set for a specific Bible and XXL print can someone explain why this is happening? I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it and still same problems there is nothing wrong with my internet connection, please fix this I appreciate it.

    I don’t want to keep using this app because there are pop-up ads that I cannot get out of. I will not pay to use the app, either, because the Word of Good should be offered free of charge. For these reasons I have deleted it.

    I love listening to max mclean read the Bible too me, but I noticed that the book of Jude was skipped. I am honestly just wondering why. Everytime I try to play it, it skips to the book of revelations. The app is good none the less.

  • Keeps crashing after 2nd day

    Since the last “stability update” I have to reinstall and sign in every two days to keep using this app. It freezes on start up and never fixes itself.

  • The downfall of Bible Gateway

    I am pretty sure that Bible gateway was most people’s go to bible app for years. I don’t know if ownership of this site transferred or what happened but it is now impossible to use. First of all you can’t get it to load. Second the rare times when it does load you are dealing with ads every few seconds- making it virtually unusable. I would be more than willing to pay for the app to not have to deal with the ads but that doesn’t seem to be an option anywhere either. Whatever and whoever has been in charge of making these changes has made the app essentially useless. Particularly now since I can’t even get it to load. It’s a very sad thing considering how this app prior was used by so many to access God’s word. I hope that Bible gateway will consider this feedback and make some major changes. Very sad.

    Very primitive look and feel. Just a very clunky UI. Loads really slow even with offline use. The Bible study resources don’t always load properly. There are other free Bible apps without ads that work a lot better.

    This app used to add to my morning worship experience but now it distracts and makes me angry. I paid to have ads removed and since then it’s gotten worse. I used to use the Voice translation but it’s disappeared? Any ides?

  • WAS pretty great - before the ads

    I used to love this app. I liked that it was clean and professional looking. It helped me focus on the scripture and it was a nice reference. Now, there are full page ads. Ads in general are too distracting and I do not think they have a place here where people are trying to delve into the word. I get that funding is needed, but there has to be another way aside from ad revenue. Additionally, having to pay monthly to read the Bible online? I will pass on that. It should be an option to buy the premium ad-free version ONCE, say $20? People buy Bibles for that much. I am going to delete this app now that there are ads and Bible Gateway wants $4-$5 a month for me to not have ads and read the Bible.
