    Stop trying to scam me. I will not only dispute the extra charges, but the entire charges. And stop starting the timers for “driver is here and will leave soon” when the driver is still a block away. Scammers.

    I have used Lyft for several years and I think that based on that alone, Customer Service should go above and beyond for people that have been using their app and their service for quite some time. On December 23, I had a driver that canceled a ride during a stop and I wasn’t even taking long time to go into the store. I was actually able to go in and come out very quickly. I noticed once I got into the store that I got some type of notification asking if I was OK but I ignored it. What had actually happened Was the driver canceled during the stop without my knowledge. He did not try to come into the store and get me. He did not try to contact me. He just canceled. My coat was in the car and I tried to contact support and Customer Service in order to retrieve my coat and I kept getting delayed responses. Not only that, but I was told that I would be charged to have my coat returned to me. I understand that there are cases where people are in a rush and they get out of the car and leave things, but this was not the case. The driver canceled the ride while I was still within the allotted timeframe. I was told to come back to Customer Service in a week to see if they could help me. They said that they could not help me any further because the driver does not have my coat and that they would not be able to compensate me for my coat or at least give me a credit for the equivalent of what my cost which is $40. This is a terrible policy and should not be used in cases where it is not the passenger‘s fault.
