    For years we paid for Amazon Prime for the many benefits, to include advertising free Prime Video programming for the most part. Interjecting advertising into what used to be free of ads unless I pay an additional fee is lowering my affinity for Amazon Prime.

    What is happening with Amazon, Jeff Bezos? Having an Amazon Prime subscription and still have to rent movies?? And watch ads?? If they were new content released from the theaters to be watched firsthand, it would be a reasonable move. I’m also canceling my subscription and moving to the competitors.

    After years of enjoying the Prime Video portion of my Prime membership, the application has become a huge disappointment. Not only have they increased their prime membership but now they are adding commercials to what was once a haven from consumerism, and has the nerve to charge an additional 2.99$/month to get rid of them! They have also habitually delayed the posting new episodes of my favorite shows! It’s a hit and miss but what used to be available to stream the day after it was on the network takes anywhere from 2-7 days now! I cannot wait up to watch late night content anymore. I’m sick to death of daily being disappointed when someone forgot to post episodes on prime-provided channels! Good luck with your use of the prime video app. I hope you are prepared to feel like you are a compromise!

    We’ve been prime members for over a decade. The price has gone up quite a bit during that time. The content on prime isn’t that great. Amazon recently started doing an ad fee which feels like a slap in the face to their customers. We’re tired of being nickeled and dimed for lousy content so we cancelled our subscription.

    Had Amazon prime, unsubscribed, deleted from phone. WARNING ABOUT 3D PARTY SELLERS. NEVER BUY FROM THEM ON AMAZON!!!!! A small cabinet was accidentally purchased using my account to a 3D party seller. The item had not been packaged or sent out yet so I requested a cancelation of the item. The item was $140 usd. For some reason they denied the cancellation and sent it to me anyway. When it got here I immediately requested a return. I was given a barcode and the message said go to UPS and if I went to another shipping company it would be out of pocket. So I went to ups. At ups they said I had to pay for shipping. The shipping cost was $140. Same price as what the item cost. Before I sent it, I called Amazon customer support, explained the situation. Told me not to worry because I requested a cancellation before the item had been sent out and it was denied for no reason at all, Amazon was going to cover the cost of the shipping. I did explain that it was through a 3D party and the representative told me it was okay, go ahead and send it, send Amazon the receipts and I would be reimbursed. I trusted this representative. My mistake. I sent the seller a tracking number so they could see where the package was, once delivered I called Amazon again asking about the reimbursement which to my surprise they said the case was denied. EXCUSE ME??? they said sorry for the inconvenience and opened the case again which got denied yet again. I would precede to speak with 4 more reps and 3 supervisors all at differed days/times all outside the US who did not speak very good English. I asked to be sent to someone in the US and they refused. It’s going on 3 weeks, I’m down $140 with no item. No one in customer service can help except open another case for it to be denied again. This is what the once great Amazon has come to. They care nothing for their customers even when it was the sellers fault and their customers are the ones to be screwed and scammed. This is the way they deal with problems. I warn anyone using Amazon, particularly in the US their customer service reps are all out of the US now, are not well trained, most do not speak English very well which makes it terribly hard to understand over a call. And they do not hold their 3D party sellers responsible when they mess up. There is no customer service. You’re on you’re if something with your order in any way goes wrong.

    I’ve found far too much content that was previously available normally that’s increasingly only on freevee. Even if I’d prefer to pay extra?! No thanks… I’m canceling my Prime membership before the end of the month. This is outrageous.
